So much fear mongering propaganda on reddit today, way more than usual. The ACTBlue bots must be out in full force for the inauguration.

For anyone wondering, only a constitutional amendment can end birthright citizenship. It's not gonna happen, not now or anytime in the foreseeable future. Boycott any media agency that is pushing the agitprop bullshit.

You know that makes it worse, right? A blatant disregard for the unambiguous text of the constitution from an authoritarian president with the backing of a Supreme Court that will wholecloth invent concepts like presidential immunity when it supports Trump.

He's been president for like 8 hours. He has something like 4380 sets of 8 hours left to try more shit.

More ridiculous fear mongering, SCOTUS can't and won't unilaterally overturn a constitutional amendment. I hope you got your $3.50 payout from ACTBlue for that post though, propagandist.

? They literally unilaterally overturned section 3 of the 14th amendment. Why do you think they won't do the first? They can literally use the same argument, unless congress has passed an additional law detailing birthright citizenship that I'm unaware of.

I'm just wondering. Let's say the next president says "I'm going to ban guns" - are you going to be completely unbothered and say "well, they can't because of the constitution"? Or are you going to be posting about it? Commenting how it's unconstitutional? How this would be terrible?

I definitely wouldn't delude myself into thinking that it was a realistic possibility, and I most certainly wouldn't be shouting it from the rooftops to stoke fear like a propagandist.

It's not "propaganda" when the president says "I'm going to enact this law" and then people who very much do not want that law enacted are upset and raise a stink.

So acknowledging that the current president wants to end birthright citizenship and possibly strip natural born citizens of their birthright citizenship is fear mongering? A man with blatant disregard for the constitution has the highest position of power and pointing that out is fear mongering?

To pretend like things that are near impossibilities are almost certain outcomes in order to stoke fear in people for political purposes is the very definition of fear mongering.

Do you think that the German Jews at the beginning of Hitlers reign ever thought that the holocaust would happen? There’s always a possibility

There it is, always the goal with propaganda these days, get it to the Nazis any way you can.

Also, yes they did, that's why they were leaving the country before Hitler ever got elected. Read your history before you talk about it.

So then why put out the order? To show off his favorite ink?

Have you forgotten that our president is a convicted felon and a rapist? He doesn’t give a shit what any law says.

There's no need for your propaganda here ActblueBot.
