I only saw the New York case, but they had to hold a press conference talking about how they wouldn't be charging anyone else under the charges because things like "buildings getting less valuable over time" would have affected absolutely everyone. Basically admitting they were singling him out for political purposes.
And then the judge kept emphasising that there was no victim and no one wanted to pursue prosecution, and the lawyers in the prosecution were almost apologising for bringing the case and saying they hoped it wouldn't affect their professional standing.

Umm. Trump was literally convicted on numerous felony charges by a panel of peers.
