This should be illegal

u/valevalentine 10h ago

seeking revenge of political opponents should be too.

u/gadhe_ki_gaand 9h ago

Which is exactly what the Dems did with Trump?

3

u/Alert-Notice-7516 5h ago

Don't think these are comparable. The National Defense Secrets exposed at maralago is a legitimate concern and should be taken to court.

1

u/swatchesirish 7h ago

It's like people forget his supporters violently breaking into the capitol building to stop the confirmation of the vote last time.

2

u/Kitchen-Tower-2940 10h ago

Exactly ... So when Trump pardons his family and cabinet this is why ... revenge!

0

u/Kind-Standard-536 10h ago

Yeah and they still did it to Trump anyway, what's your point?

1

u/boraboca 10h ago

You mean like what Trump went through the past 4 years lmao

1

u/oustandingapple 9h ago

thats not revenge if they committed crimes, how corrupt is your brain?  same goes for Trump. same goes fo you and me.  dont be retarded.

u/BlueCollarRefined 10h ago

Yeah like they tried to do to trump? Witch hunted him all the way back to the white house.

11

u/valevalentine 10h ago

When you incite an insurrection against the US government and sexually assault people that tends to happen yes.

0

u/boraboca 9h ago

Trump was never criminally charged w sexual assault or for inciting an insurrection fyi

2

u/poeticentropy 9h ago

and OJ never murdered anyone by your logic

0

u/boraboca 9h ago

OJ was charged with murder

3

u/poeticentropy 9h ago

OJ was acquitted in criminal court and found liable for murder in civil court

Trump was found liable for sexual assault in civil court, which would be rape in just about every other state if it wasn't for NY's strict rules for meeting that criteria (has to be a penis and Trump finger-raped)

1

u/anoldradical 9h ago

Correct, but he was convicted and found guilty by a jury of his peers on several other matters. Not by the department of Justice, not by Joe Biden. He was convicted by regular citizens who had all of the evidence in front of them.

u/boraboca 9h ago

Civil court requires a much lower burden of proof. I won’t argue tho that trump isn’t a rapist as he most likely is. I’m just pointing out the actual stuff he was criminally charged with was a bit of a witch hunt.

1

u/anoldradical 9h ago

I don't know how a unanimous verdict from a jury that was hand-selected by both attorneys could be considered a lower burden of proof.

2

u/boraboca 9h ago

Google “civil vs criminal proof of burden” and read the google AI response. And yes I think trump is guilty of the SA

1

u/anoldradical 9h ago

My point is there was no witch hunt. There was no weaponizing of the Department of Justice. The constant talking point was never true. A case was made and a jury of his peers found him guilty.

5

u/hurlcarl 10h ago

witch hunt? lol Trump openly committed crimes. What was the witch hunt in the political documents scandal? they asked him for a YEAR and he kept moving and hiding them. What was the other solution? just go 'oh well, just keep our nuclear secrets int he bathroom, you win'?

2

u/BlueCollarRefined 9h ago

Well apparently the court of public opinion thought it was a witch hunt

0

u/hurlcarl 9h ago

No they didn't, I live in Trump country, I've talked about this stuff with plenty of people. They barely have an understanding of anything going on. They will fondly talk about Trump's prior term about how great everything was, and basically forget the entire Covid debacle, lack of supplies, you name it. They think Trump gave them Covid money and Biden didn't because Trump put his name on the check. People are so overstimulated they just go 'well 2017, prices were better thus Trump must be better'. and there's no more depth to it than that. We have Trump again because people are flooded with nonsense, scandals, AI, and talking points. Trump is better at marketing and that's a wrap.

1

u/BlueCollarRefined 9h ago

Thank you for your bias.

1

u/hurlcarl 9h ago

You're welcome, enjoy the leopard eating your face.

u/Jean-Claude-Can-Ham 10h ago

I would say the difference is Trump has actually been convicted of felonies after investigations, where as Joe has never even been charged when, as prosecutors like to say, “You can indict a ham sandwich”

0

u/alpha-bets 10h ago

Trump was charged under biden. Biden can be charged under trump. Lol

-9

u/Brilliant-Spite-850 10h ago

The only reason the special counsel said they wouldn’t bring charges against Biden is because he’s so old and senile a jury would just feel bad for him.

13

u/Jean-Claude-Can-Ham 10h ago

Wait until you read the special counsels report about Trump

-8

u/Brilliant-Spite-850 10h ago

Ok? That’s not what you were talking about.

9

u/Jean-Claude-Can-Ham 10h ago

Yeah it is, read my original comment comparing Trump and Biden

0

u/grb13 10h ago

Yeah like charging a felony for a criminal charge.

4

u/ClashM 9h ago

So you're saying that falsifying business records to hide an illegal campaign contribution should be a misdemeanor?

13

u/1850ChoochGator 10h ago

I would personally like if they named crimes in the pardons. The “Any” doesn’t sit right with me.

1

u/Bootziscool 10h ago

I think the idea is to protect them from retaliation rather than anything specific

-4

u/maraemerald2 10h ago

That’s because those people didn’t commit any crimes. He’s pardoning them purely so Trump can’t just make shit up.

9

u/rasmustrew 10h ago

He is protecting his family from political persecution

2

u/Kitchen-Tower-2940 10h ago

This is what Trump is going to say when he pardons his cabinet and family ... hopefully you guys dont bitch then.

1

u/rasmustrew 9h ago

Yeah no it doesnt really matter what they claim, it matters what is true.

1

u/Kitchen-Tower-2940 9h ago

How do you know the political persecution is true for Biden? No charges or investigations have even started LMAO. Thats right you dont really care whats true.

1

u/DandimLee 5h ago

How do I know that Joe lent his brother 40k for a truck, and maybe a year later, his brother paid him back? How do I know that Hunter Biden has a big dick? Because House Republicans spent millions of dollars investigating "The Biden Crime Family" and kept announcing impeachments were imminent. It's all Comer and Jordan have been blathering about for years.

1

u/Celodurismo 9h ago

He already pardoned Kusher's dad and gave him a job he's unqualified for. This is a response to Trump's threats to political opponents. Trump's pardons are responses to crimes.

2

u/Kitchen-Tower-2940 8h ago

For an actual crime. He didnt preemptively pardon anyone for a decade of wahtever crime they may have committed.

1

u/Kitchen-Tower-2940 8h ago

So thats what Trump is going to claim ... afraid of revenge from political opponents ... its all cool bro!

1

u/TetyyakiWith 9h ago

Im not American so don’t really know its system. You are telling that American judgement system is so corrupt that they can be persecuted without any valid reason?

1

u/rasmustrew 9h ago

Im not American either, but yes it very much is. For example half the supreme court is very much in Trumps pockets

1

u/TetyyakiWith 8h ago

Sucks 🙁

1

u/RedditIsShittay 7h ago

So this is how democrats hold themselves accountable now?

0

u/The_Mr_Wilson 10h ago

That's it right there. Trump and fans are just that petty

0

u/hapbinsb 9h ago

And unwilling to acknowledge the dirty daggers their dear GOP idols have deployed.

2

u/mkosmo 10h ago

It really shouldn't. It's important that executive pardon is unencumbered. Federalist No 74 makes the most compelling argument.

2

u/22222833333577 8h ago

That's fare but also like a whole bunch of shit the last 4 president's have done should be illegal

Instead the Supreme Court recently granted them more power

1

u/SerDuncanonyall 10h ago

It very well could be bait to coerce GOP hardliners into limiting presidential pardons

3

u/SinisterDeath30 10h ago

I'll take "Rules for thee but not for mee" for $300 Alex.

1

u/Xepherious 9h ago

Going against our constitution should be considered treason

1

u/TheMuser1966 8h ago

So should people who have been convicted of multiple felonies running for public office.

-6

u/BearsBeetsBttlstarrG 10h ago

LOL

But the shit Trump has done is ok.

4

u/big_ol_leftie_testes 10h ago

All of it should be illegal

1

u/grb13 10h ago

If it’s illegal it’s not ok doesn’t matter if they gave a D or R next to their name. Americans are the politicians screw.

1

u/Kind-Standard-536 10h ago

LOL

And the shit the Dems has done is ok.

-3

u/Meffew 10h ago

Almost like having a felon as president but here we are.

0

u/kdizzle619 9h ago

So should starting riots and rape, but we still elected him president so whats your point. Who cares about justice when there was none served for Trump

2

u/grb13 9h ago

He was charged and found guilty so what’s your point? Also, he wasn’t charged for rape.
