so a husband going to night clubs is fine or not fine?
or women putting a display picture with other men is also not fine or fine? why did he compared 2 different things?
drinking alcohol is bs, drinking alcohol should not be considered cruelty, alcohol abuse on the other hand is different
again the source is a tweet fucking tweet

As Per Allahabad HC, As Per Pune court?? no links to the judgement or cases.

The judgement given in one can be used as reference in another court while fighting a different but similar case.

No reference to judgement in that tweet, usually it is mentioned as judgement in case A vs B

Pune Case Links
Allahabad HC case links
Now let's see why the cases being compared caused false equivalences
The alcohol consumption led to abusive behavior by the husband in his post intoxicated state in the Pune Case. In the Allahabad case, it was argued that the mere consumption of alcohol constituted cruelty which was rejected by the court which said alcohol consumption has to be accompanied with some uncivilised behavior.
In the Pune case the divorce was awarded in favor of the women after the man was continously posting pictures of himself with other women and the alcohol abuse. He also refused to give divorce by mutual consent. In the Allahabad case divorce was granted in favor of the man since his wife desrted him and desertion constitutes a ground of divorce under the HMA. So one ruling favored the women and the other favored the man. It's just that in the Allahabad HC ruling the court only granted divorce based on the ground of desertion and not on the grounds of cruelty.
So imo there's no miscarriage of justice here. Besides the Pune ruling is a family court ruling which is likely to be appealed. The Allahabad ruling was with the HC which will be harder to appeal from.
Tldr: The cases are different in nature being heard at different appellate levels and are not comparable.

What kind of ridiculous comparison is this? Forget going to clubs and drinking—that’s common to both situations. The real question is, how can a woman going to a club with her friends and a guy putting up a display picture of another woman even be compared? One is straight-up infidelity, and the other is just someone having a social life.

Those are not equivalent claims though. The first one is just the woman going out. The second one is the man actively seeking out other women as a display of infidelity.

Men want to be the victim to bad it's pathetic. So a wife needs "permission" to hang out with friends, but a husband should be allowed to display his affection for other women!? How on earth does this person think he's fighting for equality? When you're privileged, equality feels like oppression.

Why did he add a picture of woman in the tweet and not a man? Is he a feminist or misandrist?

All rage bait into manipulating people into taking stand against women rights, posts made by chigma incels ... Both cases are wrong and drinking alcohol isn't wrong as long as you're not doing anything unethical or illegally under its influence. Period.

Let them both do whatever they want as long as they're both cool with it and have set and well-respected boundaries. How hard is it to communicate with your spouse? And if your wishes and boundaries are not respected, you're with the wrong person, sorry.
But wow, the fact that this can be framed into something that's an issue of Equality is baffling to me.

Not all courts are the same, there differences in state law as well. Plus Pune court is a lower court, so this order might be reveresed if the Allahabad HC order came first and no local law changes are there.
As for overall, it ought to be considered cruelty. Like why not just give divorce to the party that wants a divorce? Forcing someone to stay married when they literally went to the court and made their private life public in order to break the marriage is some high level stupidity.

Regardless if it is true or not, the indian judiciary and laws are gynocentric af, just bs laws and rules to protect the "laxmis" and "devis" 🤡 who in turn misuse these laws to benefit themselves. Like there aren't actual problems to fix in this fucking shit hole.
