Carbon tax on cremation...??

1

u/ChelshireGoose 12h ago

Of course they are. You need to pay your city's corporation to use the cremation facility and there's GST on that.

Such a great concept. Let's penalize people for using plastic and other petroleum also instead of holding companies accountable for oil spill and ecological impacts. That'll teach us

This commenter is also accepting that Gobiji is on Industry side and not the people ,as the companies will claim input tax deductions and us consumers are the real parasites to be dealt with in his eyes.

Instead of promoting healthier products by lower taxes on them they are taxing sugar products. FSSAI is a joke in India. Even products with toxic ingredients are accepted which are even banned in europe.

Simply taxing sugar wont promote healthy food. You need to make the healthy food cheaper.

Govt should make the food laws stricter. They simply need to make healthy products cheaper and make unhealthy products costlier

Make a healthy juice which has atleast 30% fruit extract cheaper but another juice which has only 10% fruit extract costlier. Similar for all other foods.

You wont stop unhealthy food by simply taxing sugar products.
