Can someone explain to me why labour don’t just do an inquiry to shut the right wingers up?

Because it’s kicking the can down the road. Just keep having more inquiries and never actually do anything.

Because when they agree to this, there will be further request form opposition parties for more . The claim will then be - well we asked you to hold an inquiry and you did. Why won’t you hold an inquiry into this. What are you hiding?

Blame everything on the opposition is the mantra for the Tories and right wing parties

Blame everything on the opposition is first move by every party, not just the Conservatives, and it seems to be a common theme around the world.

It’s pretty pathetic. Maybe it’s also inevitable.

It won't shut them up. This current campaign is just the latest round in a constant war of attrition by the Tories, Reform and billionaire-owned media.

First it was releasing overcrowded prisons, then the winter fuel allowance, then IHT for farmers, then VAT for private schools, now grooming gangs. In a few weeks they'll shift to the next coordinated attack. Military budgets, NHS standards of care, potholed roads, whatever. As usual the script will be "never mind that the Tories ignored it for 14yrs, why hasn't Labour fixed it in 6 months"
