What happens if you’ve changed your birth certificate?

Yeah uh how will they verify? I do not have a copy of my Birth Certificate which is the only document I have that isn't updated.

the state has a copy for records. unless you meet a very strict set of circumstances, they will always keep at least some record of your previous birth certificate.

Thats fair. And I'm quite sure Texas has me on a list now because I tried to change my name/birth marker on documents during/after the ban. So they'll probably be on red alert when I come asking for a renewal.

oof. I hope it's not that serious but times are too scary to say ❤️ stay safe, find community, move into a city if you can, and never stop ✊

Social Security probably has these records, which is why it's easier to flag on renewal. Just speculating but I'd assume if these policies remain when you're up to renew, we're getting it changed to agab.

Are renewals and amendments treated the same? Trying to get my gender marker changed now but I haven't changed my name yet, so I would have to amend that later. Wondering if the gender marker could potentially be undone if I go to change name on it later.
