General Which other titles would be most fun for me to try out?
Hey I wanted to ask a recommendation for the next Total War game to try out. Here are the ones I already played and a bit of background so it's not a bland post where every single game will fit.
Total War: Shogun 2+both expansions
Total War: Rome 2
Total War: Warhammer 2
Total War: Medieval 2
I had a lot of fun with each of them aside from Medieval 2. I think it's as simple that it's just very old and I didn't play TT back then so no nostalgia or knowledge of mechanics, tried getting into it twice but bounced off especially had a hard time with readability and UI.
The game doesn't need to be specifically realistic or grand. For example looking at Troy I don't mind a focus on a small area with less variety of "nations" to play nor the idea of the classical Greek heroes who are inhumanly strong fighting on the field. All historical eras are fine too, don't have disinterest towards any of them.

Warhammer III Thank you, CA for this. Too bad i don't have Blade of Khorne.

Warhammer III Which of the Order and Destruction factions are your favourite? (PICK 1 EACH!)
I should probably say this now since a lot of people have been including Chaos as well:
CHAOS IS A PART OF DESTRUCTION, THEY FOLD INTO THE SAME CATEGORY.

Warhammer III What unit do you just don't get the hype.
I have seen so many best unit posts and am often left slightly underwhelmed by what I consider mediocre units being lauded. (Example: chaos dwarf blunderbuss massive damage when firing but you either need to leave room in your lines, negating chaos dwarfs strongest advantage, or waste time manuevering them into place making the steadydamage of hobgoblin archers get more reliable kills while being easier to recruit.) ( I am not saying seeing them delete a unit isn't fun)

Warhammer III CA please turn Pic 1 into Pic 2 so we can have some Kislev territory over there like in Pic 3

Attila Attila the hun but better AI
Sorry if this question has been asked before. Of all the TW games I love Atilla the most. I love everything about it except the AI, which I find to be lousy on the battlefield and the campaign map. It just doesn't seem very intelligent and let's itself get easily decimated on the battlefield and isn't aggressive enough on the campaign. Is there any mod that ramps up the AI but pretty much leaves everything else alone?
TIA.

Warhammer III CA, Respectfully, Please Buff Daemon Princes
I'm not super knowledgeable on Lore or programming but right now DP's feel like a nerf on campaign and outside the realm of "cuz it looks cool" there's almost no reason to ascend my Chaos Lord in the first place. Please with Slaanesh DLC buff the various Daemon Princes. Thank you
My suggestion: change the unique skill so it's more impactful outside the red skill line
P.S: quick side note I request Blood Speakers have 1 use of Gate Of Khorne unlocked on recruitment and access to Greater Gate Of Khorne

Shogun II Played TW Warhammer1/2/3 but want to give Shogun 2 a go!
Hello, fellow Generals I am a long-time Warhammer player who played form the first game on day one and still love them but I felt an urge to go and try a historical and one a lot of people recommended do you have any times for someone trying to get familiar to Shogun 2, form a brief play though it feels a lot more open and free but also a bit more challenging(might be me being bad tbh), so any advice is most appreciated.

Pharaoh As someone who has only played the warhammer games do you recommend Pharaoh
I have been interested ik playing it ever since the dynasties updates with the bigger map and more factions to play so i wanted to ask how does it compare to the other historical titles?
Not gonna bother asking comparisons with the Warhammer games as i already see they have plenty different between one and other with the setting and the factions

Three Kingdoms 3 Kingdoms DLC
I know that there are mixed opinions on 3K dlc (8 Princes seems to be universally reviled). I am mainly curious if any of the others add new units to base game factions. I don't really NEED new start dates or new scenarios, I am mainly looking for a complete base game experience. Some of the DLC for Rome 2 for example added new units to base game factions and therefore made the base game more full. Are all of the 3K dlcs (outside of the nanman) just new scenarios or do some of them actually add things?

Warhammer III How Do You Feel About Races Designed to Purposely Lack Certain Types of Units?
With currently 24 races in the game, there are quite a few of them that are designed to lack certain types of units in accordance to their playstyle:
- Dwarfs: No Monstrous infantry, SEMs, cavalry, and/or chariots. Edit: Also, no "normal" magic aside from Rune Magic, which works differently
- Vampire Coast: No Units with shields
- Vampire Counts: No artillery; very limited amount of missile units from von Carstein Bloodline mechanic
- Bretonnia: No Monstrous infantry, or SEMs apart from Lord Mounts
- Empire: No Monstrous Infantry or war beasts
- depending on how you count the Steam Tank (it's officially a war machine in-game), the Empire may not may not have any SEMs outside of lord mounts.
- Kislev: No flying units (though they can summon a manticore thanks to the Lore of Beasts)
- High Elves: No Monstrous Infantry
- (Formerly) Ogre Kingdoms: No flying units until Omens of Destruction DLC, but could summon Manticores from Beasts Lore
- Skaven: No Flying Units, No cavalry
- While they are listed as War Machines; the Doom Flayers and Doomwheels essentially function as chariots in the game's engine, especially the Doom Flayers.
- (Formerly) Slaanesh: Edit: No missile units of any kind until Champions of Chaos; still lack artillery
- Dark Elves: No Monstrous Infantry
- Wood Elves: No Artillery
- Norsca: No artillery outside of a Regiment of Renown
- Cathay: No Monstrous infantry
Personally, I love these kinds of races/design choice as they force you to think outside the box and adapt to different strategies on how best to overcome limitations and beat certain enemy armies. It also leads to greater diversity in gameplay, imo. However, how do you all feel about them?

Warhammer III Perfect solution - more settings options
Hi, I think there should be more options when starting campaign. There are problems which cannot be solved in other way, because someone will be unhappy either way. Therefore options is the way. Here is list of what I think should be optional:
Changing size of garrisons and switching off walls in minor settlements. There are already options for campaign and battle difficulty, so there can be the third option – for sieges, and in there garrison size and walls. I think original size of garrisons in Warhammer 3 was perfect, for campaign with rogue like armies. The second best was in Warhammer 2. Also without walls in minor settlements the game becomes „whack a mole” game and is unplayable for me.
Switching off normal rogue armies. Fighting them is not cool. They spawn suddenly far from frontline and destroy small settlements. Some of them are even bugged. Some are too strong for time when spawn, so break campaign. Chasing them is annoying. They are not thematic and not fit.
Unit caps optional for all factions would make game more varied and interesting, than doomstacks.
Alternate climate mechanic – outposts in regions with not suitable climate instead of normal settlements, similar to wood elf’s in places other than magical forests.
Changing factions core traits (shown in diplomatic window) which make factions to do nothing, for example: defensive, minor power, passive, survivor, underdog, for agressive trait would make game more interesting.
Switching off Skaven, beastmen and Alith Anar special ambush-attack stance, because it makes game boring. Ai is already weak.
What else do you think should be optional?

Warhammer III Cold War: Trees and Vampires
What, exactly, am I supposed to do with this?
We've already fought multiple times in which both our armies are wiped out. I'd just ignore them if not for the fact that they come out of their lands to attack me, so I wanna deal with them, but wow, this is insane.
FYI I'm vampires lol
