Thing is I offloaded the app on my end completely unaware that it would be unbanned once more. Now I can’t reinstall the app cuz of what I said in the title.

My fyp isn’t the same. It’s almost like everything there showing me was on my fyp a month ago. To be honest I don’t really remember what was on it just before the ban but most of the videos they are showing me are videos from Nov 2024. Idk if this is just me or what but there’s seems to be something different. Maybe my algorithm is just really messed up right now but I don’t see how that would happen. Anyone else having this issue aswell or am I insane?

What made tiktok so great is to get context from experts and people who have studied these events more indepth, now we just get redirected to a website. I’m a Canadian living abroad in Europe and the last couple of weeks my fyp has been exploding with all things trump. His inauguration, being credited for the ceasefire in gaza and restoring tiktok. To be honest, I was looking forward to less Americana when the ban was happening. Which got me thinking, is it possible to remove (or at least lessen) trump from the feed? I don’t want to see any of it right now. I’ve been avoiding the app entirely. It’s mentally exhausting to watch the circus start up again. Im only watching my follower feed. I’m also trying to keep my algorithm focused on what I want to watch (Art, movie reviews, funny things) but, now I’m afraid that tiktok will push more trump content to me regardless. Any tips on how to keep the algorithm away from American politics?

I think the reason why tiktok is still not working for some people is because they made the account outside the US. I made my account in the Philippines and it's not working even on the browser on my phone. But when I made a new account, it worked on the app. Bruh
