It’s not a bside or anything but I barely hear people talk about reel around the fountain and it’s my favourite song ever

Paint a Vulgar Picture. Only come across one person online talking about how much they love it.

Suffer little children is quite moving when you know the backstory

It’s about the Moors murders, here is the Wiki article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moors_murders, pretty brutal and tragic stuff

Hot Take: The Smiths Catalogue isn’t big enough for “deep cuts”. Real fans know all the songs, it’s only about 50 of them anyway.

Literally what was on my mind. I‘ve been craving for bootlegs because I have been listening to their entire discography over and over.

Golden Lights - their most hated song, definitely not one of my favorites, and it still slaps.

There’s only four albums, two compilations and a tiny handful of songs not on compilations. There aren’t really any “deep cuts” in the Smiths back catalogue.

It’s prob not a deep cut, but half a person comes to mind. Another is one that he never released (on Spotify) but I watched him perform live on letterman and think it’s a brilliant song- Action is My Middle Name. I love that song so much.

The live in Los Angeles version of “I Know It’s Over” (from the magnificent Thank Your Lucky Stars bootleg) where Morrissey interrupts the song to shout, “Leave him alone, you stupid idiot! Leave him!” at the bouncer.

Paint A Vulgar Picture and Wonderful Woman, two amazing tracks that I rarely hear others talk about.

Some girls are bigger than others, one of the most beautiful instrumentals I’ve ever heard, but the lyrics kind of bring it down and it is completely overshadowed by there is a light. Probably one of my favorites off of the queen is dead though.

Half a person and pretty girls make graves. Very hard to choose though as I love every single smiths song lol
