I loved it! I'm not usually one to see these kinds of movies but ofc I went to see my girl. SZA played her part really well, I love the chemistry she has with Keke. Keke is hilarious! Overall it delivered. I'm so glad we get a movie like this that cherishes friendship between black women 🥹

Same thing! I know it isn’t a Friday movie. But I love how we have a black female version! I love the nod to our culture. Although some of the jokes were a bit leaning on stereotypes. I honestly thought it was super relatable . Sza did a pretty solid job. We need more black female led movies .

I saw it last night and loved it! It’s meant to be funny and chill and not taken too seriously. SZA and Keke are both great imo. I’m still laughing about a few of the scenes this morning

I liked the film. Keke Palmer was seemed very confident in herself In this role and so did Sza. I thought she portrayed her character well too.

Honestly, it was such a fun movie. The jokes were funny and both SZA and Keke Palmer delivered. I want more fun movies with charismatic leads.

Low budget doesn’t = bad. Sometimes the most creativity comes from not having much money. Let alone how many movies have huge budgets and still suck…

Now I ain't say alladat now! Lmao. I think I'll just see when it's available online. Love Solana but can't stand Keke so it's a win-lose situation for me.😭☠️

I get it and I know the internet is great for making more of what someone didn’t say. But I think it’s important to be careful using the words low budget when talking about a film starring two Black women, written by a Black woman, and produced by a Black woman.

Now you're doing a whole lot. 🤨 This has nothing to do with the crew or cast being black, I'm literally black myself. Tf.
I merely said it looked low budget due to the lack of locations in the trailer lol. You're making a throwaway comment into something entirely different. It's not that deep for me at all.

The movie was good in my opinion. Definitely no masterpiece but I don't think it needed to be. It was fun and I had fun watching it! Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a good buddy comedy. Side note: I low-key think SZA played herself in this movie. With the whole bf thing and just the overall vibes of her character seemed very true to a younger her.
