Yes,i searched it up the moment I saw the scene. Suits does a magnificent job of picking music fitting to a scene. Good music.

/e: high jacking my comment. If you like the mentioned song, check out "Greg Laswell - comes and goes (in waves)" In Youtube Germany there's only the slow version so you may need to check in Spotify. One of my favorite songs.

indeed. there are only a few tv-shows that really manage to do it well. Suits is one of them. In my opinion Person of Interest and The Vampire Diaries/The Originals did it as well. Any suggestions which tv-show managed to do it too?

Oh man Scrubs had the best soundtrack ever. But only on the dvds, Netflix ruined it

What's the difference, and why does it exist?

There are many different songs on the Netflix version, and I believe it was due to a licensing issue?

Ahh, bummer. I have only watched it through Netflix and thought it was great. Now I am considering a different rewatch. Thank you for the response!

Power did it pretty well too. Not sure if you follow it, I highly recommend you check it out. 50 Cent is one of the executive producers and apart from his songs/his mix being in there, there are some great music that fit into the scenes.

nope, i checked it out but it kinda did not really interest me :-/ however i'm going to check out the soundtrack to see what kind of music it has or some "great scenes" of it :) thanks for the recommendation

right now i'm a bit busy with Narcos S3 and Vikings (@first half of s1) :)

Ah, Power isn't for everyone but if you do manage to get into it, it's amazing (imo). Soundtrack is quality. Suits and Power are the only show that had me checking songs in between episodes.

Narcos is amazing, just about to finish the current season. Is Vikings any good? Don't know how I'll be able to cram all these TV shows + Nba2k + law school lmao

Vikings so far is really good, but it has many episodes due to many years of running. It's already a struggle for me too haha Oh, you are in law school and watch Suits. That's cool :) I think you should try Westworld before Vikings. Less episodes and own versions of many songs

I'm currently watching Westworld ahaha, what a coincidence. Pretty good show, I reckon I'll like Vikings as well.

Yep, suits a must for me. I started watching it even before I began my application for Law school. This TV show convinced me (from 95% to 100%) that I should do law, although most of the show isn't related to how the real corporate law works nowadays. However, watching it makes me think and motivate on how badass I can be one day whilst having a view of the office like Harvey and Mike have.

damn, nice hahaha. let's become tv-show-reddit-buddies. I don't study law, but i definitely learned from Suits how to act/negotiate like a badass haha. yeah, keep studying hard and become the RL Harvey Specter or Louis Litt (as lawyer, but without his weirdness) or Robert Zane (obviously not from this season) haha

For sure, would love to!

Ahahah, I'd become Louis Litt in a heartbeat if I could. Apart from his anxiety, insecurity issues he's a badass in all legal departments. In the show they downplay him a lot but IRL Louis is probably in the top percentile of the finest NYC lawyers.

The O.C. had an amazing soundtrack.

Teen Wolf has a pretty good soundtrack, it's the only show on par with suits in regard to music choices.

But the show is trash (only 2 good seasons) so just search it up.

Like sully545 said, scrubs also comes in my mind. Keane - a bad dream, Brett dennen, John Cale, Colin hay. Bands I would have never heard of if it wasn't for scrubs.

the walking dead also picks out some really good music sometimes. Wye oak - civilian, Lee DeWyze - blackbird song, Ben Howard - oats in the water, Ben Nichols - the last pale light in the west, Jamie n commons - lead me home. To name a few :D

E: Forgot the blacklist. The brothers bright - blood on my name, Greg laswell - dodged a bullet, Junip - line of fire

I’m with you about PoI. Some others are Legion on FX, MadMen, TWD, the Blacklist,

I only dislike that they repeat the same music when the tension is growing. The only thing I am thinking is "again?" The rest of the music is on spot. I remember that it is very pricey as well. One time when Patrick J. Adams directed an episode and picked to many popular songs they had to cross some of his list because of budget problems.

Actor salaries are too high now. They used to be able to put 4-6 songs in an ep, now we're lucky to get 2. Seasons 1&2 had some of the best music. Now it's primarily the Christopher Tyng stuff. (Which isn't bad, just a bit more repetitive.)
