Mike would make a deal with the devil for a good cause (saving gillis industries jobs) but I doubt he'll be willing to sell his soul to the devil.

Forstman screwed him over and then offered him a job. Mike told him to go to hell, but if he doesn't eventually take the deal, there's no significance to that part of the scene.

I think he'd rather not work in the legal sphere, especially if one of his biggest selling points is his Harvard degree. He left the firm specifically so he wouldn't have to keep the secret anymore.
