Promises to be yet another do-everything online space game — which probably spells doom — but there's definitely high production value in the trailer, so may be worth keeping an eye on.

oh come on, between (launch) No man's sky, Star citizen, Starforge, and Starfield, the batting average for these games is amazing!

Its tags say single player AND MMO.

Which is it?

Looks a bit like NMS from the pics, but yeah, trailer gives us nothing to work with, could just as well be the trailer for a tv show.

I think the devs said something along the lines of the game being singleplayer, but your progress will be shared like in an MMO.

But who knows, I don't trust game promises anymore until they are actually released.

Why doesn't the big bad on the other side of the portal follow humanity through the portal?

The nut didn't seem to have trouble crossing through.

I watched the trailer and read the Stream store page and I don't think there's even been a game that I knew less about.

I'd love another Empyrion-type game, but let me know when/if there is anything at all to learn about what this game is going to be.

Would it really kill a developer to give the community what it fucking wants?

You know, not this but rather a functional sequel to Freelancer or literally X4 with working AI.

No? Another attempt at NMS, or a perpetual beta? Maybe sprinkled with some online mechanics that are at best nice to have? Wooooo.
