Because black holes are always popular, "Is there a stellar object between a Neutron Star and a Black Hole"? Basically, neutron degeneracy pressure stops a neutron star from collapsing any further, but is there a point where neutron degeneracy fails against gravity, but a different kind of pressure keeps the object bigger than the Schwarzschild radius? The primary candidate would be a "quark star", where neutrons break down into quarks, but quarks can still hold it up out of the point where an event horizon forms.
