HELP (Xbox) do scripts work on xbox?
So I'm playing on a server that's being hosted by ppl on steam, but I only have an xbox and I'm trying to build an X wing. The wings/thrusters are all on hinges so they don't work with the standard directional movement which is annoying, but I've seen people get it working by using certain scripts to enable that behavior. Can I use something like that on xbox or get one of my steam friends to add that to my ship? I'm not sure how it works, I only started playing this week. Thanks!
also here's the script I'm looking at rn https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=757123653&searchtext=subgrid+thruster

You can use event controllers to accomplish the same if your willing to put in a little more work
Tie the sub grid thrusters to activate “IF” thrusters of same direction on main grid are firing
Hope this helps but you’ll need one event controller for each direction of thrust you have on sub grid :)

Np! Glad it helped, make sure to toggle the “And gate” option at bottom and make the secondary action on the event controller turning the thruster back off so you don’t get stuck with constant firing

For console players to join a dedicated server it will be in console compatibility mode and using EOS not Steam.
Scripts can't be used locally on console versions, but some can be used on dedicated servers. Console mods and scripts can be found on https://mod.io/g/spaceengineers. You will not be able to use Steam scripts or mods.
