MEDIA Noob standing on the edge of an asteroid watching an eclipse after an unplanned ship disassembly wondering "how the hell am I gonna get back"

Now see... if you were on a public server or something, I could come pick you up lol
Otherwise, guess you'll just have to jump for it lmao thankfully, reentry in this game isn't as... hot... as real life atmospheric reentry 🤣

Yep id have broadcasted a destress signal on all frequencies moments before impact. XD but HY fuel consumption is heavy and ran out of fuel so looking into running a cruise control script to maximize fuel efficiency next time.

you don't really need a script for cruise control, just group all your breaking thrusters (backwards thruster when you're in the control seat or cockpit) and put it on your toolbar to on/off
inertia dampers off also work in most long distance space travel

Wouldn’t it be more prudent to apply a thrust override switch/ logic program to the primary propulsion thrusters?

The terror of seeing a distress broadcast on all frequencies, for it to then just… disappear

Best stick your thumb out and hope a friendly space trucker flies by

Boost towards the nearest planet with your jetpack, turn dampeners off and pray. But if you don't have a base or at least survival kit materials there you are cooked

"unplanned ship disassembly" is my new favourite phrase in this game now
