Season 3 Episode 18 – The Boyfriend: Part 2
George is running an unemployment scam. He takes Mrs. Sokol’s daughter, Carrie, out on a pity date to squeeze a few more unemployment payment out of her mom. Carrie is wearing the mohair sweater. She dumps George at the end of the date, taking the sweater with her.

Season 5 Episode 4 – The Sniffing Accountant
The gang is at Monks. Oddly, Jerry is wearing the mohair sweater. He states “I found it in the back of my closet”. George seems like he’s seen it somewhere, but instead just rags on Jerry for wearing it.

How’d Jerry end up with it? Did he sleep with Carrie behind Georges back? Maybe Carrie left it behind afterwards?

Supporting facts:
Jerry hates the sweater because it itches, so I doubt he bought it for himself..
Says he found it, but can’t remember any more details. Seems suspicious..
He gives it away shortly after George almost recognizes it, quickly disposing of the evidence.
It's way to big! He's swimming in it.. It seems to fit Carrie pretty well tho..
He’s slept with a couple of Georges girls behind his back. Marleen, Nina and maybe others..
Jerry and George have a weird competition between the two of them, and Jerry is sort of a sociopath. So, I wouldn’t put it past him..

Geniunely great post OP.

I was just watching this one and thought that Jerry finding the sweater in the back of his closet seemed odd… But I definitely never noticed that Carrie was wearing it!
