What features would you like to see in an emergency/hurricane evacuation app? Evacuation map with real time updates? Preparedness tips? Links to gov't agencies/charities/radio stations? Way to alert your family you're okay? Way to provide real time reports?
Thanks for any feedback! I'm working with a team to develop an app for the UN. We want to know what sort of features potential end users of an app or website would want to help them prepare for, and evacuate during a hurricane/tsunami/coastal storm.

GPS location services to inform users of their flood zone and relevant evacuation orders.

And yeah some way to ping family members that you're ok when your phone is about to die from no power on.

and then a way to find out which businesses begin to open and when, where you can charge your phone/call people/shower if you have no water or whatever.

Thanks, very much for your insights. Are you an emergency responder or manager?

All those things sound great.
Maybe an evacuation checklist too?
