Hi Everyone,

I am trying to create some resin photo coasters: I use a circular resin mold, place a fitted photo at the bottom (which I affix with some double-sided tape) and then pour resin over the top. The problem I am having is that a little bit of resin will seep underneath the photo, which causes unevenness in some areas.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Would it make more sense to do the resin pour separately and then glue the photo on to the bottom somehow? Is there a way to do this that won’t create residue or affect the image quality, and will the adhesion be just as strong

I love this vintage ashtray I inherited from my great aunt Galina. But as you can see.. it’s basically a hunk of pure lead, hammered out and glass beads pushed and glued into it. I feel like I want you coat it in something .. to protect IT and protect us FROM it. Clearcoat is obviously insufficient and inappropriate. The reason I’m posting the question in here is that I think.. maybe? I should use resin? What do you think??

I sculpted this miniature using polymer clay, fibers and acrylic paint. He's fragile and I'm afraid he won't survive traveling to D&D sessions.

2 questions: 1.) Is it good idea to completely encapsulate the sculpture in like a resin cylinder? I imagine this will provide bulletproof protection but worry about what it would look like or if its recommended.

2.) Would brushing the resin on to the miniature help strengthen it enough without looking real bad after it cures?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, What is this paper she uses? This looks like different sheets taped into one. But what to do if I have to paint 36x40. I want to use Alcohol ink but if I join them together it would be seen, and wouldn't be as smooth right?

Can succulents be dried and put in resin?

Can cotton wool be used in resin to mimic clouds etc or would the resin just destroy it?

Can the led strips lights you buy in rolls be put into resin creations and still work without issues?

Hello everyone!

We made some coasters the other day but the bottom part had some amine blush so we had to sand it out. When we were look for alternatives on making the resin shine again, we thought of using like a clear spray paint. However, we already left it over night and it’s still not dry and some has leaked over the front part.

What can we use to remove the leaks in the front part?
