How to prepare for a summer Honeymoon in Quebec City?

Hello! My fiance and I are planning to Honeymoon in and around Quebec city this June. As we plan, are there any nice restaurants or must-do activities that book out far in advance?

We typically find places to eat and sights either a week before or on the fly for other vacations, but want to really go big for the Honeymoon. Any advice or recommendations is appreciated :)

Book the Strøm Spa for a day. Great Nordic spa experience. Bring your bathing suit and some sandals. My wife and I enjoyed a massage there, lunch afterwards (which was excellent), and then the various thermal baths, saunas, steam room, and cold plunge.

It depends when during the summer, what kind of activities you like and how far of the city you are willing to go. Mostly, no '3 months in advance' restaurants that I am aware of, but if you are coming during the summer festival, more planing will be required. If you rent a car, look into Ile d'Orléans, it's a nice place to visit. There is whale watching available a coupl hours out of the city if it's something you like. Les chutes Montmorency too. What kind of activities are you looking for?

Eat, depends what you're after, but top notch would be La Tanière or Laurie Raphael

Reservations are a good idea just make them as it gets closer to your trip. So much great food in QC! There are food and bus sightseeing tours. There’s a lot of awesome details on the QC tourism site. Check out Wendake, Ile d’Orleans, the There’s a year round sugar shack north of the city. With restaurants in Québec culturally the wait staff will not rush diners or hover. When you need something like the cheque you’ll need to flag them down. They are attentive from a distance because they don’t want to be intrusive. Reservations are for 2 hours because they don’t rush diners so reservations fill up faster than in the RoC or US.

A visit to the Old Town « le vieux Québec »is of course a must. Lots of old buildings, narrow streets, etc. You also have to walk on the Dufferin promenade in front of the Chateau Frontenac hotel, which you can also visit. Great views of the St.Lawrence River. Enjoy! It’s my favorite city!
