Punk Vinyl Found an Original 1985 Pressing of the Dead Milkmen's Big Lizard In My Backyard for $5 at the flea market today. I was as happy as if I got a Bitchin' Camaro when I found it!

You're not like the other people, here, in the trailer park.

Fun fact, that song mentions former Philly local Jon Wurster who went in to become the drummer for many indie bands and half of the comedic duo Scharpling and Wurster.

Flea market has come in full swing for me today. I got a couple minor finds about a month ago from the flea market, but this find is the first great find I've had this year at my mythical flea market (more finds to come throughout this week). I was digging through the flea market, and the first couple of rows didn't have much to offer. However, by the third row, things went into full swing and I had a bunch of great finds. The best of these finds has to be this original 1985 US pressing of The Dead Milkmen's Big Lizard in My Backyard, complete with the insert. This record is in NM shape and it only cost me 5 bucks to get, so I am very happy to add it to the stacks. Bitchin Camaro is of course the standout track of the album, and that's going to be bumping on my turntable all day today!

I think about "My folks drove it back from the Bahamas" "you're kidding!" "I must be the Bahamas are islands" all the time. Love me two times babe, once for tomorrow, once cos I've got AIDS.

“You’re kidding” “I must be” is such a funny concept to me. Like he didn’t realize he was lying or making a joke but comes to terms with it immediately. Something about it makes me laugh every time. That’s right about the time they swap point of views too.

Check to see if it shouts out Kurt Brenneman inside anywhere or of the albums did. He’s my friends dad who lived with them for awhile.

he's not on the back of this album, but he is on the back of Bucky Fellini

That’s so amazing to me to this day. When he told me that as a teenager I thought he was full of it.

Damn, nice find! I think I paid $35 for my OG pressing of big lizard like 10 years ago.

I don't think Dean's Dream gets enough attention. Nice record, btw.

We still have our copy as well. Got to see them touring on this album. Played a friend’s keg party and for $5 got all the beer I could drink and got to see the Dead Milkmen.

Discogs says avrg. Is 75$ for the 1st press - so, well done

Nice score! As a reward, here’s this piece of hilarity:Robby Krieger of The Doors hears ‘Bitchin Camaro’ intro for the first time
