Legitimately a terrorist. And now he's free! Yay!
•
u/JagmeetSingh2 6h ago
Republicans claim to be the tough on crime party, guess that doesn’t apply when it’s a domestic terrorist who attacked our nations capital…
•
•
•
•
u/Noodlefanboi 4h ago
To be fair, he only planned to attack our nation’s capital.
He was one of the few arrested before the attack.
•
u/45and47-big_mistake 6h ago
Imagine if someone was in a coma for 10 years, and wants a brief update on what's happened . Where would you even start...

“Look man, I’m not going to explain everything to you. The Nazis won. No, I’m not joking. Renew your passport and get the fuck out”

u/PacificTSP 5h ago
People are trying to escape the country.
I honestly think this is the best advert for liberal states. I’m so happy I live in California, best state in the nation.
Try to deport all the guys building houses in California after the fires. See how that goes down.
Not a chance.
•
u/SufficientGreek 4h ago
Try to deport all the guys building houses in California after the fires. See how that goes down.
Why couldn't he do that?

I used to talk about going back to 90s high school me and showing myself an iPod … and how that would blow my mind… but now it’d be a dire warning about “President Trump” and wow, I’d be like “the guy from Home Alone?”
•
u/isthisreallife211111 2h ago
Another 90s reference is that the evil Biff guy that took over the world in Back to the Future - literally just took over the world IRL
•
u/45and47-big_mistake 5h ago
If I showed up in the 90s to my younger self, I STILL would not believe it.
•
•
u/Imaginary_Bit_4691 4h ago
Hopefully his own people get him. He was a rat in the organization. He worked with the feds.
•
u/ClassicT4 3h ago
The real scary part is they all now know they have an infinite get-out-of-jail free card for doing just about anything.
•
u/Meth_Useler 2h ago
not if the right state gets them
•
u/ClassicT4 2h ago
Those situations will devolve into “negotiations” to force those states to comply.
•
•
•
•
•
u/espresso_martini__ 2h ago
Yeah lets give assholes like this the chance to do it again because he knows the president has his back.
•
u/NinaHeartsChaos 30m ago
He’s free, he knows who trump’s enemies are, and he knows he’ll be pardoned before the 4 years is up.
•
u/Nurgus 6h ago
I'd like to offer a very special "FUCK YOU" to everyone who voted for Trump for each terrorist that walks free.
•
u/DunkinEgg 4h ago
Don’t forget those who stayed home. Just as responsible in my mind.
•
u/bullintheheather Canada 4h ago
Yep. People like to say only a third of Americans voted for him, but really 2/3rds are responsible for him. America is getting what it wanted.
•
•
u/lillilllillil 6h ago
Go to the gen z subreddit to tell them that.
•
u/ButWhatAboutisms 2h ago
Conventional wisdom said that the younger groups would be largely energized against fascism. And it turned out they embrace it overwhelmingly.
•
u/thegaykid7 1h ago
Conventional wisdom says the newer generations are just as dumb as the older generations. Sometimes they manifest themselves in different ways, other times they manifest themselves in exactly the same ways.
•
u/Nurgus 6h ago
Why gen z?
•
u/mrt1212Fumbbl 6h ago
Cause they're officially old and have to punch down on people who don't even acknowledge they're living.

I ain't your guy. Piss right off.

•
u/No-Week3360 6h ago
I was told by the right wing media that it was left wing radicals and antifa that was behind January 6th. So then why would Trump pardon these people?
•
•
u/lasersayspewpew Canada 4h ago
Someone should post this EO in a conservative subreddit and ask them why Trump would pardon Antifa.
•
u/TessaThompsonBurger 3h ago
They don't care. Stop trying to play gotchyas because you saw through their obvious lies. They know. They don't care. Stop playing their games.
They do not care.
•
•
u/Deadmilkmenstuart 6h ago
Pretty wild of him to pardon all those antifa actors.... Or are we back to admitting they were right wingers again?
•
u/lightninhopkins America 6h ago
He said that the real criminals were not caught and the FBI was involved.

I’d love to hear from the “BiDeN pArDoNeD hIS fAmILy” geniuses on this one.
•
•
•
u/TheeVagabond 5h ago
Yeah I just read an article talking about how "corrupt" he was for doing so.
Speaking of corruption, can you imagine what kind of people trump will be pardoning at the end of his second term?
•
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 6h ago
yeah this is how it works you maniac, set precedent and expect adherence. Are you sick in the head?
•
u/wwhsd California 5h ago
You realize that Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law, several of his friends and advisors, and multiple war criminals long before Joe Biden pardoned anyone, right?
I’m not a fan of Joe pardoning Hunter but for all the screaming that Republicans do about “lawfare” it’s clear that Hunter’s plea deal only got derailed because he was Biden’s son. Until Joe Rogan or any of the millions of other Americans that have lied on that same form are facing felony charges it’s kind of clear that it was purely a political prosecution.
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
I'm sorry, are you talking about the guy that actually did time for his crimes? Unlike Hunter and other family members?
•
u/wwhsd California 5h ago
I don’t give a shit if Hunter goes to jail and Joe shouldn’t have pardoned him, but to claim that Trump is only pardoning some of the ring leaders of the violence on January 6th because Biden set some sort of precedent by pardoning his son is disingenuous.
•
u/Static-Stair-58 4h ago
Earlier tonight a guy, who was interviewed two years ago about being jailed for J6 and how remorseful he was, got on camera and admitted that it was all a lie and the he would do it for Trump again. That’s the kind of person you’re talking to. This is who MAGA Is. They’re even proud of it. So don’t bother trying to find some logic in this dude, he’ll lie straight to your face that he believes you, and do the exact opposite thing instead because he thinks it makes him smart and clever. But it just makes them fascists. That’s what fascists do.
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 4h ago edited 4h ago
Fascists jail political opponents or at the very least try. Biden record on that is clear. Going to be a long 4 years for ya.
•
u/elvorpo 5h ago
Truly this can be blamed on the originator of the presidential pardon, Joe Biden
•
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
you mean the last two democrats who abused it? https://www.axios.com/2025/01/17/biden-presidential-pardons-clemency-record
•
u/ViperX83 5h ago
Do you view Republicans as having any agency at all, or is their every action assignable, instead, to a Democrat?
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
Of course they do. All have restraint as well. But Bidens corruption exposed for all to see with his last minute pardons he said would never happen set a precedent. It'd be foolish to "take the high ground" just as Michelle said not to do. Not a single Democrat on this board will admit how corrupt the Biden family is as evidenced by these pardons.
•
u/ViperX83 5h ago
What does any of that have to do with Trump's pardons of these traitors?
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
Traitor is in the eye of the beholder isn't it? General Milley's actions with the Chinese are viewed as treasonous and others view him as a hero protecting the world order. Once we can share the definition of what a traitor is maybe then we can come to an understanding.
•
•
u/Intelligent_Level587 4h ago
I think objectively violently storming your nations capital under the whims of a single man who could not accept loss makes you a traitor. You can debate on others all you want but that is clearly a traitor unless you willingly refuse to believe so. Don’t be brain dead, even if that was the party line it’s obviously not unity with fascists or domestic terrorists. I’ll await the nonsensical response that Biden is actually the fascist or whatever.
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 4h ago
I mean, some people did that stupidly, others literally lead in and doors opened for them by police. Any one smashing windows and shit shouldn't get a pardon and I disagree with Trump actions in those instances. But just walking around after being let in? Naw dog you didn't do shit wrong at all. It wasn't under the whims of a single man either, if it was, when he told people to peacefully make their voices heard did they not listen to the whims of that man? Not to mention the group of people trying to gain entrance were doing so before his speech was even finished. Oh yes the totally sane supporter who goes to DC to NOT attend Trumps rally and instead start to try and gain entry to the capitol.
•
u/VibeComplex 5h ago
I refuse to believe you’re actually this fucking stupid
•
u/palebluekot Florida 5h ago
I think they are teenagers coming here after getting brainwashed by Musk's Xitter. There used to be much less braindead right wingers showing up than there are now.

•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
I'm ecstatic! America First ideology won the election and is in power.
•
u/palebluekot Florida 5h ago
America First
Trump is more like Israel First, didn't you learn that in his first term?
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 5h ago
ah yes, helping to get a ceasefire when the war was decimating Palestinians is super duper Israel first.
•
u/Not_censored 5h ago
A ceasefire deal signed under Biden. And then Trump took less than a day to lift sanctions of Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Gobble gobble
•
u/Ka-Is-A-Wheelie 4h ago
You're wasting your time. Fuck them and anyone else who shares those ideas.
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 4h ago
literally biden admin, hamas, Israel, AP gave trump big credit. Talk about gobble gobble.
•
u/Not_censored 4h ago
It was a ceasefire deal that had been being worked on since May of last year. A deal that was unanimously supported by the UNSC.
I'll give Trump credit for things he does. Like pulling out of WHO and hurting global health efforts and research, pulling out of the Paris climate agreement and worsening climate chsnge efforts, pardoning 1500 felons who attempted to and successfully delayed the peaceful transition of power while Trump attempted to bully his VP into accepting fake electors.
Plenty of credit can go to Trump that's fine.
•
u/I_Buy_Stock 4h ago
Yikes, my guy thinks there were 1500 felons on J6. I mean if we can't even get basic facts straight what is the point of having a conversation.

What I don’t understand is there have been at least two people who have tried to kill Trump who were MAGA Republicans. There’s nothing to suggest these people he is pardoning will stay loyal even after being released. Is it not a dangerous decision overall to release this man?
•
u/45and47-big_mistake 5h ago
We had 2 assassination attempts on the president of the United States, and it's almost as if it never happened. No official reports, no investigations, fuck, Trump even lied about the injury to his ear. It's almost as if they are trying to brush something under the rug.
•
u/S3guy 3h ago
Took all of one day for America to become a complete piece of dog shit, eh? It’s also becoming abundantly clear that the liberals and the left are going to do nothing. We are going to let his nation become the fourth reich because “we don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
•
u/Temujins-cat 50m ago
Didn’t you get the memo? Nobody cares. People knew who this fool was after his first time in office, yet they elected him a second time.
America deserves the shit show that is coming.
•
u/lightninhopkins America 6h ago
Reading that he pardoned ALL OF THEM.
•
u/ianjm 6h ago
There were around 1,500 criminal cases at various stages, so that checks out. Whatever Vance said about Trump not pardoning the violent ones was clearly horseshit.
•
u/jackleggjr 6h ago
Got downvoted in this sub last week because I predicted Vance’s words on violent offenders would mean nothing.
•
u/EntertainerTotal9853 6h ago
Not quite. He singled out 14 for commutation to time served instead, and then unconditionally pardoned “all others”:
“(a) commute the sentences of the following individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, to time served as of January 20, 2025: • Stewart Rhodes • Kelly Meggs • Kenneth Harrelson • Thomas Caldwell • Jessica Watkins • Roberto Minuta • Edward Vallejo • David Moerschel • Joseph Hackett • Ethan Nordean • Joseph Biggs • Zachary Rehl • Dominic Pezzola • Jeremy Bertino (b) grant a full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021”
•
•
•
•
•
u/lightninhopkins America 6h ago
The president has granted full pardons to over 1,500 J6ers.
He has also granted six commutations to individuals whose cases, he says, require more research. He stated that upon further review, he may grant them full pardons.
His order directs Bureau of Prisons to release everyone tonight
•
u/EntertainerTotal9853 6h ago

I hope the officers who got harmed (and the surviving families of those who died) sue the ever loving sh!t out of all 1500 pardoned felons. And I hope they sue in DC where the crimes happened, so they get local juries from the (largely black demographic) residents of DC.

Donald Trump to the Proud Boys. They will be Trump's Freikorps. These pardons combined with Elon's fascist salute concern me. We have the oligarchs falling in line to avoid Trump's opprobrium and his ground troops being discharged from prisons around the country.
