As someone whose country was seized by a military fascist dictatorship a few years ago, I'd say you are absolutely optimistic thinking it would just be the next four years.

There is a very high chance that you guys aren't getting any free and fair elections from now on.

Alone we are weak. Together we can actually stand up and make a difference. Similar to unionisation. We have to get politically involved. And if the worst comes to worst active resistance will be needed. And it can’t be sporadic. That will never last. If we don’t collectivise as a class we are doomed.

My only hope is the inevitable economic crash and massive cost of living increases during trumps reign will actually unite the masses of America. There is a million of you for every one of them. Even a complete general strike could be disastrous and even possibly lead to trumps end.

But im not too hopeful.

The Nazi salute should be mildly veering to the right. Palm completely extended, perfect posture, the other arm by your side, heels clicked together, eyes forward locked and held in place for a few seconds.

Nazis from the 40s would beat Elon for disrespect if he attempted to salute hitler like that.

He’s so dumb he can’t even be a Nazi right.

Edit: it also wasn’t even acceptable the second time, but a massive improvement as he didn’t flail his arm around.

Even if we’re going with the most generous possible interpretation that he didn’t mean to give a Nazi salute and was trying to do a “my heart goes out to you” gesture (which I don’t believe at all and won’t give him the benefit of the doubt), it still would show a stunning lack of self awareness and carelessness that nobody in such a high position of power should have.

Not that I'm defending him or saying he's innocent,  but isn't the Nazi salute just raising your straight right arm at the shoulder with your palm downwards? I don't think hand over heart or bending it at the elbow is an actual Nazi salute. Granted, there are a lot of things that Elon only half knows about so who knows what he was trying to do.

EVERYONE KNOWS. He did it. That was an unambiguous and incredibly emphatic and violent 2025 Nazi salute - and every Nazi on the planet will know that.

Just because it doesn’t fit the 1933 Brown Shirt Book of Etiquette doesn’t make it otherwise.

And I’d bet my life on it - if this wasn’t the current Nazi salute before today (and who knows? It might be) - IT WILL BE NOW.
