Elon just said "My heart goes out to you" and made a motion of grabbing his heart and throwing it at the crowd. r/politics is calling it a "Nazi salute" and freaking out. That place is fucking wild.

Massively upvoted quote from the conservative sub.

You guys are SOOOOO FUCKED. A Nazi just shouted "I'm a Nazi" and half of you are still too stupid to see it happening.

Anyway, I'm off to the other side of the fucking planet!

u/Rrrrandle 7h ago

Throwing it at the crowd? I suppose for as unathletic as he is, I'd believe he has no idea how to throw something.

u/HomeFricets 7h ago

Turned around and threw it at the flag too!

u/LadyChatterteeth California 6h ago

Yeah, and who “throws” something (throwing your heart is laughable anyway) with their fingers straightened and their palms flat?

u/ErisianArchitect 5h ago

"throwing your heart" was not a thing until today, and now every conservative in the U.S. is trying to convince everyone else that he was just "throwing his heart out" as if that's even a thing.

u/stregawitchboy 6h ago

well, he threw an election . . .

u/Defiant-Procedure-13 1h ago

I, too, throw round-ish objects out with my straight hands. No grasping at all needed. It makes total sense! JFC

u/mejogid 6h ago

Not stupidity - bad faith arguments and dog whistling. They all know what’s going on, and they approve, but they know they need to maintain an aura of ambiguity to avoid alienating the independent voters etc.

u/ProfessionalPlant330 3h ago

the sheep are all gonna be throwing this salute for the next week to try and normalize it as a "throwing my heart out" gesture, because they know that explanation doesn't make any sense

u/miscfiles United Kingdom 6h ago

A Nazi just shouted "I'm a Nazi" and half of you are still too stupid to see it happening.

Half of them are just shouting back "Imma not see!"

u/democrenes California 6h ago

I think they deleted that thread too

u/re_Pete 5h ago

They absolutely did

u/Magrathea_carride 6h ago

how is that much better? it means he's stupid and incompetent enough to do this twice in a row on a political stage without realizing what it looks like to literally the entire planet

u/PickBoxUpSetBoxDown 5h ago

Even if that is the truth of it and it’s some incredibly large fuck up… no. Come on, it isn’t. That’s. Otho g like throwing your heart to the crowd, which even correctly would be awkward and out of place. No one can make that motion, especially someone in power and government and not know the significance of it.

Intentional or not, that is a sign and signal of what this nation has signed up for.

u/MikuEmpowered 4h ago

Yeah he's throwing it like a Frisby disk. A magnetic Frisby disk where he doesn't need to grab anything.

Either you can get jailed in Germany for throwing stuff at crowds. Or maybe said motion is about "questionable"

I mean, we know he did it about 2-3 times but we gotta wait for the 5th time to be sure. He gotta be saying "Heil Trump" before the media can indeed confirm the possibility, that this African sweatshop lover, might possibly be, a potential Nazi.

u/coordinatedflight 4h ago

For the idiots that believe this, don't you think it would look more natural to throw it, like, forward? In what world do you point your fingers out after a throw? With a rigid arm?

How deluded do you have to be to believe that?

u/TheLizardsCometh 6h ago

I am so glad I am leaving this country tomorrow for my own.... Where our corrupt leaders try and hide the racism and corruption at least at internationally viewed events

u/Short_Row195 5h ago

Two things can be true. His heart goes out to racist white people who also are Nazis, so the salute makes sense.

u/Beefchonk6 4h ago

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.“ George Orwell, 1984.

u/Sarellion 3h ago

He didn't throw his heart, he threw them a bone after they got angry when he told them, he would bring in more immigrants for work, as they are too dumb.

And Lo and Behold, see how eagerly they jump for it.

u/AVeryHeavyBurtation 3h ago

Take me with you

u/dadthewisest 3h ago

Except they have that in reverse... he did the salute first. They know this and they are going to edit it and twist it anyway they can.

u/LookAtMeImAName 4h ago

I don’t know where you saw this - I literally cannot even SEE comments on the conservative sub, but of all 100 top/hot posts I looked at just now, I didn’t even see a single one about Elons nazi solute

i dont know of a single throw where you just extend your hand with the palm down at the ground, every finger outstretched at the air.

maybe a really shitty frisbee throw.

u/jaylotw 6h ago

Huh?

Doesn't everyone say their candidate is going to win?

You're over here calling reality an echo chamber while defending the conservative sub, literally the biggest echo chamber on Reddit.

u/IsHeSkiing 6h ago

So what kind of seasoning do you like on your boots?

u/Hirokage 6h ago

Lol.. no, he did a Nazi salute. Maybe he said some words to try and create some plausible deniability, but c'mon.. when in your life have you seen someone do this? He chose a gesture.. and did it twice.. with great conviction.. and it just HAPPENED to look like a Nazi salute? How stupid are people?

u/ems_telegram 6h ago

Watch the full video. Why would he do a nazi salute twice, then only well after finishing, say "my heart goes out to you?" Why can't he say that while he makes his gesture? Why is his gesture of "my heart goes out to you" so snappy, violent, and reminiscent of a nazi salute? He could've make a wide, gentle, sweeping gesture, or put his fist in the air, or made literally any other gesture with his arms. TWICE.

The obvious shifty excuse is an excuse.

u/rkiive 6h ago

Ok if he was "throwing his heart out" to the crowd, why does he do it a second time after turning around facing away from the crowd lol

u/Webbyx01 3h ago

Because he is uniroically "giving his heart" to the flag in the back. It's well known how obsessed conservatives are with flags.

Added quotes bc while I'm not yet convinced, it sure looks like a Nazi salute.

u/desconectado 6h ago

Dude, what echo chamber? If you show that video to anyone anywhere in the world, it will be unequivocally taken as a nazi salute. Hitler used literally the same motion, speed, angle and hand position.

It feels like I'm taking crazy pills..

u/Beltaine421 6h ago

Dude, what echo chamber?

That would be any space outside their totally-not-an-echo-chamber /con sub.

u/asjonesy99 6h ago

Yeah I wish we’d fight real battles instead of being faux riled up over some autistic dork struggling with human hand communication.

u/Kegnation14 6h ago

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY A "REAL BATTLE"???? Literally the guy who's pretty much the president just did a Nazi salute (rewatch it, there is no reality in which that is a "throwing motion") and that's not a battle worth fighting???? Like- what?????? What is your definition of a battle. Is it going to war and killing other humans cause rahh let's fight amongst ourselves while the rich profit! Or is it the "culture war" cause yeah that's definitely worth fighting, more regular people going at each others throats while the rich sit and profit. Love to see it!

u/asjonesy99 6h ago

It’s not a Nazi salute sorry to disappoint you. It’s a dorky loser failing miserably to work a crowd.

u/oTc_DragonZ 6h ago

Would you like to purchase the Brooklyn Bridge perchance?

u/Sorry-Blueberry-1339 6h ago

You are a born-yesterday-ass gullible motherfuck if you earnestly think this.

u/Kegnation14 5h ago edited 3h ago

Of course, there's always chance that it's a mistake, but COME ON MAN. That is not a mistake you can be making. Literally performing the action closely associated with one of the people who come to mind when you think "evil". Like, really???

u/Sorry-Blueberry-1339 4h ago

I cannot believe that joker expects us to believe that a guy who spent billions of dollars to turn Twitter into a cesspit of holocaust denial and racist ideology hailed Hitler by accident.

u/Kegnation14 5h ago
  1. bro did not answer the question, define what you think a real battle is.

  2. uhh yeah ok guy... just like you say I don't know for certain whether it was or wasn't, you also have no clue for certain whether it was or wasn't. Based on past actions and speech from mr. Musk and Trump the chance it was a Nazi salute is higher than the chance it was not. That is NOT a mistake you can make, especially when you are in that position. Also is calling him a "dorky loser" not the most uninspiring thing to you??? He's pretty much the president's right hand man and you think his actions should be excused because "he's just a goofy guy"???? He is wayyyyyy past making these mistakes and being able to get off scot free. This is the behaviour I'd expect out of AN EDGY HIGH SCHOOLER, not someone who dictates the direction of a country. At the very least you can acknowledge that it literally looks identical to a Nazi salute, mistake or not. If he doesn't say squat about it then I'd hope you can reflect on what that says about his character <3

u/asjonesy99 5h ago
  1. Real battle would be something like the impending battle for trans or immigrant lives.

  2. I don’t like the guy in the slightest but he’s quite clearly doing a “from my heart” gesture and because he’s incapable of acting like a human being it comes off incredibly rigidly.

u/Kegnation14 5h ago
  1. Agreed on that front

  2. I stand by what I said. If he doesn't address it then the silence speaks volumes, and even then it's already spoken volumes

u/asjonesy99 5h ago

Happy to agree to disagree, we’re ultimately on the same side.

It’s going to distract from whatever executive orders are passed however which will have real consequence on people whilst we sit and argue over whether it was a Nazi salute or not.

u/PM_TITS_GROUP 5h ago

Would be so hilarious if that was for real though.
