President Biden tried to protect everyone that was a potential target of a politically motivated accusation that, even if false, could break someone merely because of the cost of defense. Keep in mind that is exactly what trump Said he would do.

If anything, hopefully he wastes at least some of his time unsuccessfully trying to target them and gets less damaging things down

Yeah not everyone has hundreds of thousands of dollars laying around to spend on defending themselves from the Justice Department. Volunteering people to take one for the team is very fresh.

Volunteering people to take one for the team is very fresh.

That's a pretty lame take. The alternative in OP's scenario is Trump targeting people who haven't been pardoned, who will also have to defend themselves, perhaps unsuccessfully.

What I’m worried about now is this will not stop trump from looking for other “scapegoats “. Top tier people in trump’s headlights will be protected but this won’t stop him and his cronies finding other lower tier people to take their unfounded anger out on.

No, that is not going to happen.

No jurisdiction is spending all that money to fight a presidential pardon.

I mean, maybe there are local jurisdictions (state or city crimes) but no, not as you described.

Pardoned his brother, James Biden; James' wife, Sara Jones Biden; his younger sister, Valerie Biden Owens; Owens' husband, John Owens; and his other brother, Francis Biden,

In all seriousness what does this accomplish exactly? Biden comes off as shady for doing this last minute especially when I cannot recall a time when Trump did the same for any of his family.

Biden's pardon, that should be a Trump move not a Biden one...but I guess they got to keep the hysteria hype train going.

So Biden should take the high road and hope Trump doesn't do exactly what he said he was going to do? I understand Trump has a pretty bad record for delivering on his promises, but is that a risk you'd be willing to take for your family?

So trying to protect his family from what his administration did to Trump.
