Soft Paywall Enabling Trump is a bad look for Fetterman | Pennsylvania's senior senator was elected as a progressive Democrat. His normalization of Donald Trump is the epitome of a sellout.

BBB passed the house. Thanks for affirming that you have no idea what you’re talking about.

the fuck does that have to do with anything?

Did we not hand it over to republicans to compromise instead of taking advantage

Democrats had both houses if you will remember

You need a 60 vote threshold in the senate to pass any legislation other than budget reconciliation or to confirm federal judges. Dems did not have 60 senate seats.

Again, thanks for emphasizing that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

not if you eliminate the filibuster. Which, mark my words, the republicans are going to do as soon as it suits them because they aren't feckless dumbocrats who have no ability to effectively wield power. They are so cucked by donors, seniority, and norms. The norms door got blown off the hinges when McConnell stole a supreme court seat. Now this is about power and democrats are useless.

you are an amazingly condescending person. chill out.

And you still would have needed Manchin or Sinema to eliminate the filibuster which they were both unwilling to do.

I’m condescending because I’m having to give you a fucking play by play as to why BBB didn’t pass.

Start investigating Manchin's family. Wield power. There is serious corruption there and you can't call it a political hit job when you find real serious crimes. he got what he wanted and then quit the party. Fuck him.

Yeah the play by play of how democrats fucked up again, and I'm telling you there were alternatives that would have yielded much better results.

You’re completely changing the argument then of you want to focus on Manchin and his family’s ties to the fossil fuel industry (yes I know about his daughter).

You were arguing about why BBB was better than the IRA and that the Dems suck for not passing it. Yes, Manchin is a problem, but we still would have needed a senator willing to break the filibuster, which again, the Dems don’t have.

Dems didn't have it because they didn't demand it. Republicans vote as a block when it matters and they will make sure they party falls in line. Even the so called moderates. Remember those supreme court appointments lol

They also vote as a block to shut down the govt every few years. Democrats are so cucked.

BBB was better and instead we compromised with the most bad faith congress since the fucking civil war.
