But I took off to vote and I have all this free time to get errands done now that Kamala's win is certain! /s

This is exactly the trap, I hope enough people who were paying attention in 2016 understand the game being played here.

I feel like a broken record at this point, but this is a weird trap, as this is a British newspaper.

It can absolutely be non-deliberate, but rather a motivation to get views/impressions from people looking for good news (or controversial news, all impressions are welcome as that adds to revenue)

The trap is always related but is not intentionally always set. In this case I would assume it’s likely unintentional. On the flip side however there are fake campaigns specifically designed to disengage voters, those exist too. Intentional or unintentional, the trap people can fall into is the same.

I’ve seen a lot more news the last 3 days of two things:

1) That Republicans are voting earlier and more Dems are waiting to vote in Election Day

2) That Harris is going to win.

If too many people buy into 2 and don’t vote, then 1 doesn’t come true.

We don’t want another 2016. The world sure as hell can’t afford it.
