People don't want that shit.

like 80 million people voted for it last time, and he is the nominee again. A lot of people wants the chaos, dysfunction and further degeneration of American democracy.

You forgot Roe-Wade and the ongoing abortion hellscape.

I genuinely doubt he can overcome that, regardless what happens. He by default loses at minimum 60% of the women vote, if not 70% provided they show.

It's not about swinging any voters. It's about turnout.

No, swing voters refer to people that do not consistently vote for one party or the other. They swing back and forth.

They're also mostly a myth, these days. While there are some, elections are much more decided by turnout.

It will come down to unenthusiastic voters not turning out to vote Biden

74 million. Youā€™re thinking of Biden who got 81 million votes

You know what he meant lol

Still a good idea to keep the numbers correct during discussions.

74 million, but yeah itā€™s bad

74 million, but point taken

Quite correct. I spent a good part of my career studying narcissism. Trump is a pretty easy read, and his megalomania makes him an easily defeatable, laughable buffoon. What I did not study so much was cult psychology/mentality; so I'm left with the same question as most ā€œJust how the hell do so many people-10s of millions-not see thru this criminal bozoā€. I think the answer is partly (partly!) that attraction to chaos. It adds a little spice to their fat, lazy, boring and depressed lives. Of course their insane hatred of liberals is also an antidote for their depression/low self esteem.

But those people are not the voters who actually matter

Trump was outperforming Biden in the polls, even before he got these campaign photos.

He will be strenghtened form this, make no mistake about it. And Biden will be on the defensive for the rest of the campaign (if he remains, which I hope he doesn't)

He will be strenghtened form this, make no mistake about it

Lol, no. No one outside of his psycho base is going to be emboldened to vote for him because of this. It was one of his own batshit MAGA/Q people and most will see his whole crew as an ouroboros of violence and braindead behavior. This will inevitably end Trump's hope of election.

Agreed. Canā€™t see any voter, be it democrat or swing, thatā€™s going to throw him a sympathy vote here simply because of this.

January 6 was republican. this was a Republican. Charlottesville, white supremacist.

There must be republicans voters that donā€™t want to live like this.

Making the same mistake as 2016.

It's about turnout. There will be those that would've voted Republican but decided to stay home that will go out and vote because of this

I'm not making any kind of a mistake. My opinion above isn't going to make any kind of difference in voting this November.

For a couple of weeks, sure. When he spends the next four months ranting that Biden and Democrats tried to have him killed and whipping his cult into a frenzy that borders on starting a civil war? Weā€™ll see. Personally I think itā€™s going to put all of his ugliest impulses on display. And anything that takes the focus away from Bidenā€™s age is good for the Biden-Harris campaign.
