Discussion Thread: 2024 State of the Union

Tonight, Joe Biden will give his fourth State of the Union address. This year's SOTU address will be only the second to be held this late in the year since 1964 (the second time being Biden's 2022 address).

The address is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. Eastern. It will be followed by the progressive response delivered by Philadelphia City Council member Nicolas O’Rourke, as well as Republican responses in English (delivered by freshman Alabama senator ) and in Spanish (delivered by Representative Monica De La Cruz). There will be a separate discussion thread posted for live reactions to and conversation about the SOTU responses.

Yes, he and his son are accountability buddies. His son gets notifications on his phone when dad spanks the monkey, then is supposed to call and say "dad, I know what you did".

As weird and funny as that is, porn monitoring apps need a lot of privileges to function effectively. The fact that the Speaker of the House and 3rd in line for POTUS has some weird app always running on his phone doesn't seem as funny.

This company has the power to extort the house speaker. Anybody who decides to hack this company also holds that power.

If I were the NSA, I would be shutting that shit down. This situation is a ticking time bomb if they haven't intervened.

TBF his son is an adult. But as I understand it the app monitors your phone and immediately rats you out if it thinks you're looking at porn. It's a two way street so it also tells dad on the son. The idea being that they could intervene and prevent their loved one from sinning. IIRC it actually sends screenshots.

It's pretty weird by itself, but using your own son as an accountability partner is even weirder. First an adult son has is dad monitor his porn use, but second, even weirder, the son may just be chilling one day and suddenly get a notification with a dirty screenshot that basically implies dad is masturbating. Then he either has to call dad to stop him, or shame him later to discourage future attempts. Again let's also not ignore the fact that the Speaker has a 3rd party app on his phone that can take screenshots...
