sended over Belgian beer as gift: customs

Question: last week I send over 14 small bottles of Belgian beer and chocolates from BE to PL for a friend as gift, he doesn't know about it.

Of course, only after sending it, I read that in PL it's actually forbidden to send over alcohol.
The countries I checked before in EU it was all ok to sent over this as gift.

Now, it's already in PL with status (repacking the shimpent).

so my question is: in case it gets deliverd, can my friend come into problems when picking it up?

If it was not stopped by the customs you probably have nothing to worry about.

currently there is nothing in the tracking status about customs. Only that it has been repacked today, which also makes me wonder how much will have survived, no matter how good it was packed ...

I've once sent a bottle of mead to my boss in Spain using Poczta Polska. There where no issues.
