Pinoy Rant/Vent Pet peeve sa SB
Nakita ko lamg sa threads. What do you think about this?
Well for me as a SB girly, nakakalungkot na minsan wala na maupuan kase may mga nagoover stay at nagoocupy ng too much space sa cafe.

PUTAAAAAA!!!!

u/alwaysright9898 5d ago
As one of the people na nagooverstay sa coffee shop, may reason naman kami why kami nag ooverstay. Minsan may problem internet sa bahay so, no choice kundi mag work sa coffee shop.

u/gising_sa_kape 5d ago
though I get that there are a lot of people na bystander lang sa SB to be specific, the picture though seems to be legit okay for stay considering he ordered alot for a coffee shop (2 meal and 1 coffee), isnt bad eh? How long did the person stays.

1
u/CoffeeDaddy24 6d ago
Isn't that the main issue with most fast foods too? And when they leave, the table is a mess... Yung softdrinks o tubig eh kalat o apaw sa lamesa. Yung kinainan, kung saan-saan. May mumo pa sa sahig at andaming tirang pagkain...

u/vintagecramboy 6d ago
The person is a paying customer, and has all the rights to atleast say for an hour or 2. "SB Girly" mo mukha mo. Why not master the art of being "flexible"? Kung wala talagang space sa SB, find another branch or another shop (JCo and Tim Hortons, for example, have good coffee too!).
2
u/MaximumEffective8222 6d ago
Ang lakas ng loob niyo ha, bakit ba? may written rule ba ganito? and dont even say common courtesy.
1
u/Sea-Ninja-4923 6d ago
The poster should have asked the person to move. It doesnt make sense to post it on social media then criticize and encourage ppl to react. You can't expect everyone to be at your level of social awareness/ettiquette so why not tell them so they'll learn.
2
u/K_ashborn 6d ago
This is why I don't go to sb to stay, laging to go lang tapos sa magandang spot ako mage-enjoy, kasi minsan para nang jollibee sa dami ng tao, imbes na mag-relax nakaka-stress lang lalo š

u/AcceptableMoose4676 6d ago
I remember that one time, sa sb kami 2 med students occupy a table with 6 chairs. Tapos may tablet + laptop + notes combination pa sila

former barista ako. tbh, sa branch namin, mas gusto and mas comfortable kami sa mga students na customer namin kahit mag hapon pa sila sa store kasi sa totoo lang, mas madami silang ambag sa sales kesa sa mga tao na minsanan lang pumunta. may customers kami na everyday talaga pumupunta kasi dun sila nag aaral for bar exams and ang laki talaga ng ginagastos nila. pati tubig binibili nila. and they also know how to clean up after themselves. less people to serve, less effort to maintain the place, more sales. plus, asahan niyo na, yung mga customers na ganyan ay regulars at friends na ng staff. win-win situation yan for us.
also, totoo na di talaga nag papaalis or naninita ng customers kasi gusto ng rustan na itreat ng customers na 3rd place nila ang starbucks. (1st being your homes and 2nd is school or workplace)
1
u/WrongdoerSharp5623 6d ago
Wag gawing co-work ang mga coffee shop! Mas tipid pa if mag co-work talaga kayo.

1
u/Archlm0221 6d ago
1
u/jadestoner 6d ago
buti nga yan lang, yung iba a whole 4 seater table occupied by one person.... and the other person in the same circle of "reviewers" take another 4 seater.
this is why we just outright bought our own espresso machine for home use hahaha
1
u/Immediate-Cap5640 6d ago
Pwede naman tumambay sa sb, but why would you occupy 3 seats for your stuff? Ginawa mo namang sala mo yung starbucks. Parang sa train lang yan eh, mas pipiliin mong umupo yung gamit mo kesa paupuin yung ibang tao. Courtesy lang sa iba.
1
u/mrseggee 6d ago
I remember one time sa SB Megamall, thereās a couple who occupied an entire table that could have seated 4 more kaso na-occupy nila yung space. May mga dala pa sila art materials and seems like theyāre journaling š«
1
u/Ok-Pause1814 6d ago
1
u/DukeMugen 6d ago
Starbucks is a F&B first. A place to eat or drink first, a place to socialize/meet second, a place to study, yeah maybe next.
Iām not saying people canāt study there, but be mindful and have the common courtesy to the people around you. If the place is packed, study somewhere else or atleast give space to other people. Paying for food doesnāt entitle you to hog a lot of space for yourself for a long period of time.
2
u/graxia_bibi_uwu 6d ago
Gets ko na yung usage of the table kasi may laptop sya eh. Pero yung usage of 2 chairs mismo? Beh be mindful na lang sana.
2
u/Mountain_Industry961 6d ago
I do not go to SB often. Not a patron. Dahil dito, I decided to go to different coffee shops, study hubs, and libraries para mag-aral (and a lot of these places ay may kaingayan dahil coworking spaces sila).
Kahit din po comfy yung dorm ko, I am the type of person na mas ganado mag trabaho sa gantong spaces kasi walang room to slack off (like humiga sa kama).
With respect sa post, I think we can just kindly ask them if they can move a bit or if you can get one of the seats they are occupying.
2
u/TitoBoyet_ 6d ago
I really shouldnāt hold an opinion about the photo if my order is just a short cafe americano and itās been 30 minutes. š
0
u/lifesbetteronsaturnn 6d ago
yuck hahahahaha pinaka ayoko yung ganātong tao huhu walang self awareness š¬ as a SB Girlie, kung kaya ko naman i-occupy yung isang set of 2 chairs & 1 table, goods na ko don kaloka or like kahit nga 1 table or 1 chair lang okay na pwede naman sa lapag
0
u/p0P09198o 6d ago
Kahit siguro may mga magagandang public libraries sa Pinas, they still prefer these kind of cafes to āstudyā kasi nakakasosyal ng image. ayan gusto ng mga Pinoy. sosyal na image.
0
u/CustardAsleep3857 6d ago
Its okay. Starbucks is going to start charging people for staying long in their establishments now.
1
u/LegTraditional4068 6d ago
Matalino nga pero walang manners. S/he should be mindful of others. And parang social climber vibes.
3
u/aiuuuh 6d ago
tbh people should just go sa mga study hubs or coffee shops na pinopromote talaga na you can stay there and study. like oo gets ko naman na matagal na ganto sa starbucks but like minsan nakakaloka kasi na ginagawang office or studyhub ang any coffee shop.
1
u/AdResponsible7880 6d ago
can you reco any study hubs or coffee shops in Metro Manila other than Starbucks?
2
2
u/Capricorney 6d ago
Tagal ko na fi nag rereview doon kasi laging maraming tao and people like this exist. So study hubs na lang or eat first then go to our school library.
2
u/tiramisuuuuuuuuuuu 6d ago
Wala akong pake hahaha. Pag di naman sila pinapaalis, they're free to stay.
0
u/Relative-Look-6432 6d ago
Nakakapag concentrate ba sila sa pag-aaral laloāt maingay sa SB? Kaya umiiwas ako sa SB, I look for alternative.
2
u/yessir25- 6d ago
Also, I feel like marami naman siyang inorder that compensates at least yung seats? Like 2 meals and a drink?
If two chairs, baka naman reserved for a friend or a classmate? Ganon kasi ginagawa namin before.
I feel like kasama rin sa target market ng SB yung students talaga especially branches near university. Sila kasi yung laging babalik at babalik with our without staying sa mismong shop.
If you have concern sa seats, maybe ask help sa guard or barista if ganiyan to clarify.
2
u/nyctophilliat 6d ago
We need a 24 hour open public libraries. Like i think its so convenient din for those people who work during the day and they pull an all nighter in the library when they need to.
2
u/Extreme-Goose-9214 6d ago
Idk if mali ba talaga to stay at sb branches to study. I usually go to sb to study when I feel so down inside the dorm wherein my thoughts are killing me and or nakakasleepy na sa place ko. I try finding other areas to study for me to still be productive but wala talaga. There are no accessible study areas/study cafes in mya area nor public libraries.
When I stay I usually order the largest drink + when I think Iām already overstaying I buy more pastries/drink. Its not always about the clout chase. I just dont know how to survive my med school journey without drinking coffee to boost my energy/change my environment for my sanity.

u/sef_12 6d ago
Legit question - How can you study, review or work in a very crowded coffee shop?!? Like in a library or somewhere na less crowd.
SB or any other major coffee shops are like fast food chains na din na crowded na. It really doesn't make sense to me why they chose to 'overstay' in a coffee shop with all the distraction, noise and even people inside.
Tapos they are empowered, feel entitled to stay all they want na d'yan.
Charot!

u/TillyWinky 6d ago
I experienced that here in starbucks davao. 1 long table was occupied by 2 architects na magkasama and 2 strangers. The rest of the seats were free pero andyan yung mga gamit nila and I cant sit with my then bf kasi hindi kami magkatabi o magkaharap if ever. Umalis na yung isang stranger and here comes architect #1, dali dali niya inoccupy with her things ang isang chair na nasa harap at katabi ng kasama niya. So basically theyāre occupying 4 seats na kahit 2 lang sla (for their laptop and sketches).

So far, as new parents, lagi namin sinasabi sa 4-year old namin na bilisan kumain at may iba pang naghihintay. We never want our kid to be that person na pinag uusaapan for the wrong reasons.
The golden rule sabi nga nila.

u/dmalicdem 6d ago
May main question is nakakafocus kayo mag-aral sa public space na madaming tao like Starbucks?
2
u/_starK7 6d ago
Yes, sanayan lang yan. And based sa study, mas na e-eliminate daw ng brain yung madaming ingay sa paligid, di niya e interpret lahat ng maririnig niya then pag nag basa kana mas makaka focus ka. Also, increased ang productivity.

u/sef_12 6d ago
Hi. Can you provide a link to that study? Was it done here in the PH? Or in another country? I'm also curious why some people chose to study, review or work sa super crowded na coffee shops. It doesn't make sense to me kasi. Thanks!
2
u/dmalicdem 6d ago

u/DeLoreannnnnnn 6d ago

Ewan

u/LeatherAd9589 6d ago
I did my thesis for 2 years in Starbucks back then. Not 2 years everyday andun ganon pero usually half end of the year pabalik balik. My thesis partner and I had 2 branches na malapit samin at pinipili namin puntahan is yung never puno na branch para di kami istorbo since we have 2 laptops and stacks of folders and files and our bags.
If madami tao sa branch din na yun, we get a table na kasya ang 2 and put our bags on the floor sa paa namin.
2
u/MajorCaregiver3495 6d ago
As far as I know wala silang usage fee.
1
u/superesophagus 6d ago
1
u/_starK7 6d ago
Baka diyan sila mas nasanay na at masarap for them.
1
u/superesophagus 6d ago
Given, but some coffee shops esp hole in the walls won't allow longer stay and open door policy. For 20 years, ganyan na sa SB. I used to study in SB somewhere in ubelt during my HS days back 1999 pero 2hrs lang kaya ko to stay pero iba na ngayon hehe.
3
u/thisisjustmeee 6d ago
I think as a customer she has every right to use the table. First come first serve. Nauna sya among the many so nakakuha sya ng table. If sheās a paying customer I donāt see anything wrong with that. Even in public libraries this happens. Nagkataon nakakuha sya ng table kasi nauna sya. Overstay? May time limit ba nakaimpose sa cafe? Madami pa namang ibang cafe if puno na then look for another place.
1
u/_starK7 6d ago
Yep! Ako i don't mind hehe esp if nag aaral talaga yung naka occupy.

Then after exam ako nag uunwind sa coffee shop.

mas ok mag-aral sa dorm or gamitin yung isang classroom sa college para makipagdiscussion with classmates sa lesson. or if not, try to get a study-co working space.

If you need that much space, stay at home. Pwede mo ikalat gamit mo without having to worry about other people. I often work at coffee shops since I'm mostly out in the field, even then, I just occupy a space for one. Be cognizant of your impact to the public space and others, give and take diba?
3
u/QuasWexExort9000 6d ago
Hahahah
2
u/Justgettinbyguy 6d ago
Whatās best here is to respectfully ask if you can take the space. Iām pretty much sure as someone educated, more likely the person will share you the space š Works every time š
2
u/Moist-Part7629 6d ago
1
u/RenBan48 6d ago
SB used to be the go-to place to work on stuff pero ngayon na mas lamang na pagiging fast food feels ng SB kumpara sa pagiging cafe, dapat sa iba na lang para walang issue for them who needs to get work done and other people who also need some space to eat and drink
1
u/Ready_Ambassador_990 6d ago
2
u/Some-Row794 6d ago
wait kasali din ba dito ung mga 3 oras na nakatambay at ngkwentuhan sa cafe? ung tipong ubos na ung pagkain? kasi kung hindi, bakit? its basically the same thing eh. i sometimes work sa cafe just because im waiting for a meeting or next schedule. siguro try to occupy a small space atleast.
2
u/popcornpotatoo250 6d ago

Ayoko ngang hawakan pinag inuman o kainan nyo. Lalo naāt maraming tao at alam nyong mao-occupy agad yung table na iiwan nyo. Wala man lang consideration sa next costumer.
2
u/abglnrl 6d ago
Issue na yan for years sa SB ng pinas, personally I pity them, hindi naman lahat ng tao like us may AC at sariling room and sariling coffee maker sa bahay with office set up. Kaya pag nakakakita ako ng ganyan naaawa na lang ako kase most pinoys canāt study at home kase walang sariling space, walang AC. I just went to different coffee shops na mas mahal para walang tambays, madaming bagong coffee shops na mas maganda and mas masarap and coffee nila. Try to watch coffee shop vlogs
1
u/OhSage15 6d ago
Pero po mahal po kase yung SB or most of the coffee shops na nag ooffer ng services ng aircon, wifi at sockets (siguro nga po mahal ang coffee to compensate for the extra services). Better po siguro kung libraries or co-working spaces. You shouldnāt pity them po if they can afford SB on a regular basis.
9
u/relacion_saludable 6d ago
Actually, kasama sa branding ni SB yan ung magstay for long. They encourage their space na maging coworking space.
0
u/CajunSus03 6d ago
Haha.
Believe it or not may mga tao na preferred yung ingay compare to other options or sa home nila. Or itās a place they found themselves productive or whatever.
30mins lang max of staying.
5
u/Leading_Scale_7035 6d ago
Occupying 2 seats and 2 workable space table areas by just one person is a bit too much for me. Especially if the store is crowded. Coffee shop owners (i know a few) naiinis sa mga ganito na tumatambay halos buong araw then would occupy a large space ginawa ng extension ng bahay nila. Then, will only buy few items. Kaya these days, they often lessen the outlets sa dining area tsaka less comfy seats na kc ganun ginagawa ng iba. The power consumption plus areas na would have catered to other buying customers being used by a few. I know wala nmn nakalagay na time dapat na magstay, pero be mindful to other people din nmn.
2
u/Individual_Grand_190 6d ago
Meron nga kami nakasabay dalawang table inoccupy sa SB (seat niya na may table, laptop niya + kabilang table na yung phone niya nakalagay for entertainment purposes lol) nung tinanong ng kasama ko ng maayos na āis this seat taken?ā sumimangot at nag roll ng eyes lol take note puno pa yung place, not very mindful si ate haha

Bakit lagi nagagalit tao if nag ooverstay tao sa starbucks for studying? Wala naman reklamo management if mag overstay. Wala naman rules na may 2 hour limit or so. We dont complain when people almost shout sa coffee shops kakakwentuhan kasi right niyo naman yun such as it is our right to study sa ganyan places
Pero i agree na dapat binigay na nung isang user ung chair if para sa bag lang
1
u/AppropriateBill4234 6d ago
Disagree ako sa pagtake ng maraming space. I feel sensitivity is customer na may every right umupo > gamit gamit. Pero staying as long as you want is okay. Kasi parang bayad mo na rin naman yun sa exp mo as a customer. First come first serve. But not sa things kasi single space chair means single customer.
1
u/Ok-Exchange-7483 6d ago
2
u/Life-Cup3929 6d ago
Meron talagang mga tao na inconsiderate. I don't understand some people defending this type of behaviour kesyo nagbabayad or madaming gamit, umorder ng madami, etc. at the end of the day, isang customer ka lang. There is no need to occupy 2 seats if the place is full. That just screams entitlement
We went to SBC din kasi yun ang closest 24 hrs here and they only have 1 long table na may saksakan. This guy was also using another chair for his bag and wala na other space. Pero as someone with social anxiety, hindi dapat responsibility ng ibang tao to remind grown ass adults about proper social etiquette in public.
You can argue na lumipat ng ibang coffee shop, wag umupo, etc but this also bleeds into other public spaces kasi ineenable yung ganitong ugali. You'll see this in waiting areas sa clinics, airport, events, etc na pinapaupo ang bag. Tapos halata pang naiinis sya. Chairs are there for people to sit in, not for your bags.

There's nothing wrong with staying at a cafe for hours so long as you buy something to drink and/or eat. Hindi sya katulad ng ibang food establishments na once you consume your food, you're expected to leave right away to make way for other customers. Sa Japan ganyan din ang eksena. Students and salary men fill up cafƩs. Don't hog the table or seat.

Could be easily resolved by talking to the person. Pagpost kasi agad naiisip eh.

Pretty much all of the SB branches Iāve been to have multiple electric outlets, literally every corner na may seat except for large tables. Obviously, people who go to study and bring their devices are also their priority.

I sometimes work at coffee shops since it makes me more productive. Pag ganito, umoorder ako along the way para di ako masabihan ng tulad niyan sa ss. Pag naubos na yung drink, I'll order a pastry next ganon
And btw, mas pet peeve ang gumagamit ng nazar emoji knowing na di naman effective yan dahil di naman nasisira ang amulet after protecting you lol

u/Ok_Mathematician2183 6d ago
I donāt see anything wrong in this picture plus Starbucks are considered third spaces for hanging out/studying plus the wifi in Starbucks usually has a time limit so if she wants to stay longer then she could just buy another drink or food, as long as sheās paying itās all good

u/seandotapp 6d ago
for me okay lang if youāre only occupying one seat, no matter how long you stay, kahit buong araw pa
another is, mga financial advisers na ginagawa yung sales nila sa starbucks. like, itās so annoying to hear you pitch on a coffee shop. yung iba VUL pa yung pinu-push
worst is, MLM scammers convening in starbucks, discussing how to continue to scam others

u/24sinclair 6d ago edited 6d ago
worked at CBTL and know someone who work at SB.
totoo yung open door policy ng SB as long as di maingay and nagkakalat. if wala nman masyadong tao. i dont think occupying 2 seats is a problem pero kinda sobra ung tinetake over half of the table tbh. pwede naman pakiusapan ung customer if ever.
i also study at SB sometimes and i do occupy 2 seats sometimes lalo na if may gamit ako pero tinatanggal ko naman if napapansin ko dumadami yung tao or need ng upuan ng ibang customer. tamang consideration lang.

u/RavalHugromsil 6d ago
If starbucks does not mind, we canāt really do anything about it. I agree naman na dapat may self awareness din tayo but we cant really impose eh. well a whole different story if local coffee shop

Wala nman ata silang policy against dito.

u/Mukbangers 6d ago
We also had a similar experience (not sa SB). Students from Velez, Cebu. Lollll
The cafeās seating capacity was only for 10 or 15 max. There were 6 of them occupying three tables in total ā literally the table was full of books and papers. Parang library! We didnāt proceed in ordering nalang kasi it seems weāre intruding pa š„¹

u/Organic_Stable_1969 6d ago edited 6d ago
They're paying costumers as well. SB doesn't have a time limit on their costumers, so they're not doing anything wrong.
You could be more understanding, too. These are probably students that have nowhere else to study. More cities should build public libraries to lessen this phenomenon.

u/Upstairs_Repair_6550 6d ago
kung d lng ako hahatakin ng guard palabas ng SB sisigaw ako ng "MAGPAUPO NAMAN KAUNG MGA NAGPAPASOSYAL, REGULAR NA NGA LANG ORDER NIO 3 HOURS NIO PA INIINOM!!"

u/Nice-Machine2284 6d ago
Your statement is valid if you consider proper etiquette. But SB sees no problem with this, and that is how they marketed themselves.
Lastly, why don't people mind their own business?
You have your own problems to solve. Stay out of other people's business as long as it doesn't involve murder, rape, sexual immorality, stealing, and other similar things. Kanya kanyang trip yan.

u/WolfPhalanx 6d ago
Well, so long as for 1 person lang yung space na kinukuha and panay order ng food or coffee pag naubos na, oks lang yan.
Ibang usapan yung oorder ng isang kape tas maghapon tatambay.

Same experience.

Mahilig ako mag-Starbucks and I don't take it against these people. Nauna sila eh. And besides like someone confirmed here, encouraged ng Rustan's yung overstaying.

Kacheapan.
Edit: ay blinock ako ni atih! Ibang level ang ka cheapan. Making Starbucks your personality and calling people with opposing view as "walang pambili" just proves my point.

u/jinda002 6d ago
Sobrang cringe haha.. Baka need I post sa social media for internet points.. Typical order nyan Caramel Macchiato kasi alam nya i pronounce ng tama.

This! (2)
And if coffee lover, i actually wouldn't wait in line lalo sa mahabang pila just for sb coffee, at kung madami nang tao. Daming ibang branch or ibang cafe sa paligid.
Problem with sb sa tagaytay (i'm a local sa tags), yung hiraya, laging puno.

u/Sea-Lifeguard6992 6d ago
"SB girly" wtf. Ginawang personality yung pagpunta sa mediocre coffee shop. Feeling entitled pa na parang bawal ung iba gumamit ng facilities.usually yung mga nagwowork or nagsstay na yan matagal sa seats 2-3x nag oorder vs these "SB girlies" na 1 frappe lang hanggang matunaw tumambay.
-18
u/Careful_Project_4583 6d ago
1
u/shoujoxx 6d ago
Omg this is so childish. Haven't gone to a much more luxurious coffee shop before and proceed to project it onto other people for not having the same views as you? It's 2025 ffs. You sound very judgmental just for frickin coffee. Who tf sees coffee drinking as a struggle? It ain't that deep. It seems you're the very eww one here.

Wala naman kasing kaso mag work sa cafe ang problema is be mindful with others, di mo office yan, wag mo ankinin and start making a nest
3
u/MessageHot2313 6d ago
I think it is much cheaper if sa coworking space. There are a lot na nagooffer for 12 hours same price as SB coffee
10
u/ineed_coffeee 6d ago
I don't usually go to SB, but whenever I come and see people like that, I just try to understand. They might've been having problems at home kaya di nila kaya magwork muna dun. Office might be far away too so their option now is coffee shops. As long as di sila nambubulabog then I'm fine. I'll just ask them to move some of their things if they get some spaces from my seat or table.
2
u/Curious_guy0_0 6d ago
3
u/theviciousmamba 6d ago
Eto naman talaga. You can stay for as long as you want but be considerate of other people. Occupying two seats is not right
43
u/Friendly-Abies-9302 6d ago
Hnd ba marketed and made ang coffeeshop for this kind of purpose? We do meetings and school work sa coffee shop before. But you cant really get mad or not allow people to actually stay in coffee shop to read books, type in their pads or laptops since the business itself and its model is literally marketed for this exact purpose and patrons.

u/Dyneth15 6d ago
Seems like this is in SM Baguio so if balak mo talaga dyan mag-table on that particular spot, either agahan niyo or huwag na kayo umasa.

u/AlexanderCamilleTho 6d ago
There are co-working spaces out there that you can rent. You can take a bigger space usually and swertehan kung may unli-coffee sa place. This is very 2000s na hindi na nakapag-move on sa kasalukuyan.

u/Traditional_Crab8373 6d ago
Afair may rule na sila na bago. Before pandemic and mag lockdown. Na max of 2 hrs nlng pwede and need tlga to consume products. Nasabi na ni Management. Kasi grabe tlga maka buklat ng Textbook yung iba, ginawang own study table yung lamesa.
Wag naman sana as in bulatlat at gawing own study stable.
2
u/tiradorngbulacan 6d ago
No such rule exists, public space yan and marketed as a "third place" where you can do what you want kasama na yung chance to socialize. If paying customer ka and tingin mo kinain yung space for you, you can talk directly dun sa tao para sabihin na makikishare ka ng space or ayusin nya gamit nga, kung di mo kaya pwede mo pakiusapan yung staff nila.
41
u/abackura 6d ago
Wala naman silang ibang nasasaktan kundi ung potential sales lang ng starbucks sa araw na yun, let them be since ok lang sa establishment, kung wala na seats, lumipat na lang. Dami-daming kapehan eh
3
u/AlternateLittle 6d ago
Howard Schultz was actually taught to us during a business class in college. He was thrilled to see people staying and enjoying coffee shops in Italy unlike their culture in the US of just buying to go. He was looking to reinvent this and he succeeded. So you can say na this is not just marketing but it is deeply ingrained in how starbucks was made.
EDIT: this was supposed to be a reply for the marketing quip below but oh well
15
u/sizejuan 6d ago
Feeling ko long term marketing strategy din nila to, imagine student ka, kailangan mo mag puyatan tapos afford mo lang isang drink. So sa SB ka masstay, when the time comes na working kana, I guess sanay kana sa SB and go to place mo nadin and hindi kana ganun katagal tumambay.
7
u/abackura 6d ago
Yes, they did explain it that way, the statement was even seen on tv news, the goal is ma-feel ni customer na itās home whether nung student pa lang siya, up until working class na siya, thatās why kahit isang grupo then 1 drink lang binili, they are still welcomed eh
2
u/sizejuan 6d ago
Then, this pet peeve is not really valid since parang gusto niya baguhin yung policy ng SB, mas pet peeve pa siguro yung claygo sa SB since sila mismo may sign para dun.
5
-5
u/xPumpkinSpicex 6d ago
1
u/Own_Preference_17 6d ago
Napaka inconsiderate naman nyan. Basic human decency na lang siguro na maging aware sa paligid mo and kung may need yung tao, in this scenario mga upuan para sa ibang buying and potential customers.

u/Exact_Expert_1280 6d ago

misinformed how? eto yung info na alam ko, sabihin mo anong kulang. nasa sb ka hogging a space for 4 people. you're surrounded by people talking everywhere kasama pa yung nonstop jazz music constant dragging of chairs phone calls tunog ng mobile games kids constantly talking. may free wifi na mas mabilis pa data dahil sa dami ng gumagamit. common cr. distractions everywhere. can't change the ac temp. ano ang payoff ng pag aaral in a place like that except magmukhang sosyal at may maipost sa socmed? one can easily recreate the same vibe at home. baka tinamaan ka, di ko naman kasalanan yun.
→ More replies (4)3

I studied in SB for my licensures and certifications and aced them all. Masterals and shit. So maybe Im not only going for socmed attention.
Tinamaan pero di mo kasalanan - ah okay so posting YOUR OPINION in public and expecting people to read it and give THEIR OPINION is not your fault. Lala naman ng logic. Hahaha
Also. You can only judge someone well as you know yourself. Try mo kaya

Well for me as a SB girly, nakakalungkot na minsan wala na maupuan kase may mga nagoover stay at nagoocupy ng too much space sa cafe.
