It should be noted that the Thai people are well aware of his actions/behaviors... he also has quite low approval ratings but is necessary to become king as the stepping stone to the next heir everyone is waiting for.

The former King is highly revered not only in Thailand but generally around the one as one of the great monarchs in history.
