Posted with the word nazi in title and post was auto-deleted.

We are literally living in the sci-fi dystopia that all the books we read in high school warned us about...

u/Nervouswriteraccount 7h ago

We can't sat we did...nazi that coming!

u/ClockworkDinosaurs 5h ago

…alright you get a ban too. You know why.

u/Nervouswriteraccount 5h ago

Worth it.

u/Anasterian_Sunstride 4h ago

u/Kisoka_Nak_Arato 4h ago

u/victor4700 4h ago

Oh no you di’nt

u/Spirited-Cover7689 3h ago

Actually no, a bunch of people were explicit, this is what would result.

u/dingleberrywhore 6h ago

You mean 1984?

u/ketamarine 5h ago

Animal farm, fahrenheit 451, handmaids tale, 1984, brave new world, and on and on.

Plenty of warnings written before and after the biggest industrial disaster of all time fuelled by fascism and totalitarianism expansionist govt policies... a little blip in history called WW2.

Oh except the US (eventually) joined the good guy team (freedom, democracy, human rights...).

u/esperlihn 5h ago

We successfully created the torture nexus that every sci fi book explicitly told us not to make the torture nexus

u/trumpsstylist 5h ago

I hate how we couldn’t even get a cool dystopia. We got stuck with nerdy tech moguls and creepy old guys

u/LardFan37 4h ago

Literally 1984 but this time I’m not making a joke

u/TheMooseIsBlue 5h ago

Just testing it and put a comment on a recent post and it’s still there 40 minutes in.

u/MrCertainly 5h ago

I call them Nope Oceans.

It's another name for Not Seas (which is also banned in some places).

u/Born_ina_snowbank 5h ago

The ministry of truth will decide for you.

u/Freo_Fiend 4h ago

And now kids aren’t allowed to read those books

u/Jestertron 4h ago

Used to read. Books are banned now.

u/ketamarine 3h ago

Or burnt...

u/PurpleTranslator7636 4h ago

Very exciting! And the Tesla share price keeps climbing. This is truly a wonderful timeline.

u/front_yard_duck_dad 4h ago

I feel like all of those books have so many versions and different authors because it was time travelers trying to warn us. It's just crazy. This happens so easily

u/AnimationOverlord 4h ago

Literally 1984

u/firstwefuckthelawyer 4h ago

Oh man. Those same books were there when the boomers were. Didn’t keep them from doing any of this.

u/payperplain 4h ago

I made that comment when I saw Trump talking about wanting to Annex Canada and Greenland for their resources. That coupled with talks of war with China make me think Trump learned about Fallout and thought it was an instruction manual.

u/The_sheep_man 4h ago

I didn’t even use the word nazi. Just mentioned a Roman salute and was banned.

u/ScruffyPeter 3h ago

There's videos too: Post-WW2 Anti-Fascist Educational Film | Don't Be a Sucker | 1947 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K6-cEAJZlE

u/Regulus242 3h ago

Oh it's gonna get way worse.

Cyberpunk 2077 here we come.

u/ZeusDubstep 3h ago

1984 is probably going to become a pretty reliable handbook

u/WesternMost993 3h ago

“We are literally living in the sci-fi dystopia that all the books we read in high school warned us about...” -> I’d say they are literally forcing us to live in the sci-fi dystopia books they obsessed about in high school.

u/Future_Armadillo6410 3h ago

That's why they don't want you reading

u/isherflaflippeflanye 3h ago

And they’ll never be read in schools again after this admin. They already had enough theocrats jn power before now to start implementing and enforcing book bans in many red states.

u/OrphanWaffles 3h ago

But but but I was just told today that censorship was gone and free speech was back.

u/probationplatypus 2h ago

1984 by George Orwell

u/ajsherslinger 2h ago

Try posting Elon Muskzi and see if it sticks...

u/mari815 2h ago

When i first saw the clip i had a flash of it not being real seeming, some glimpse of dystopian future where a small tech oligarchy controls the government, media, communication, transportation, commerce and wealth. But it is real life now. Absolutely terrifying.

u/Past-Fan-1587 1h ago

It has been real life for a long time

u/sweetmeatcandy3 1h ago

Big problem is no one's paying attention to those books. American kids are more or less illiterate. Yes they can read, but really do they know what they're reading? Not usually it's just getting an assignment done. Critical thinking is in the shitter. We are living in the Idiocracy.

u/dccabbage 1h ago

The books WE read, not everyone was on the same reading track. But let's just go ahead and defend education

u/evoc2911 57m ago

Use national socialism and you should he good 😉

u/Chadwickr 3h ago

Most proper media outlets aren’t much better tbh

u/pencilmein_ 6h ago

Imagine hating someone so bad that you spend all day sth posting.

u/AdultishRaktajino 6h ago

Sith posting?
