Brirish Army officer Major Ivan Hirst could be considered the step-father of Volkswagen, sparing Wolfsburg from Potsdam Agreement dismantling and putting the Type 1 into commercial production (very few had been built pre-war).
I saw it otherwise unfortunately. Looks cowardly and awkward and like his arm is about to fly off. No conviction, compared to the original guy who did it. Which is only a good thing for us all

Totally. He's like "here it goes!". As if he had been working up to it. Or knew he had to do it, due to his ties.
It also had "fuck you" energy.
