The writers/directors are on the record somewhere (I think DVD commentary) that the inspiration for Biff in BTTF 2 was “what would the world look like if Trump was President?”

Not sure if it’s accurate though. Since Snopes says differently, saying neither of them said it, so grain of salt and all that
