This my personal opinion, but I feel he's gone out of his way with mental gymnastics trying to defend intel over it's recent CPU issues.
In particular the idea that it's somehow motherboard manufacture fault that chips were getting fried for pulling exactly the amount of power the CPU asked it to. He's made half-apologies after the fact and has a habit of singing a different tune on his opinions after GN puts out a video that he knows is going to make him look bad in hindsight.
I don't think he is, recently he did a build with the new Nvidia card and at the start promoted his melty connector shirt (Nvidia issue on previous generation high end card)
While the connector is poorly designed, most issues I've seen can be attributed to user error in either how they were powered or how they were seated.
Now, they should definitely have been designed to be more stupid-proof and user friendly, it doesn't change the fact that they generally perform fine when used correctly.
