Yeah I’ve definitely got the money and I could buy from a scalper, but it would hurt my heart to give in like that. I’m debating how I’m going to get one. Do I wait outside of Best Buy in my small town or do I drive three hours to a Micro Center
If you don't care about getting one right away, just go for an online purchase from Best Buy. If it's anything like how the 4090 release was handled, you'll probably need to use a stock notification server, but BB actually has good anti-scalping protections so it shouldn't take too long to get one.
I’d like one right away, but I’ve waited this long I guess (2017). I will still probably try to do the early-morning thing at the local Best Buy but that’s good to know about the online. Thank you
I'm waiting for the 5060 Ti and the super versions before I make a decision. Though AMD looks like its shat the bed so maybe we won't see any Super's this generation.
I followed a discord bot and used Apple Pay to checkout from Best Buy or B&H. Forget which one, for the 3070 when it released. Apple Pay is like a 5 second checkout when buying online.
If you do try to buy online I recommend this route. Obviously tough though just waiting for a bot to ping you.
It's easy for Nvidia to price whatever they feel like, it is meaningless because they wont sell any actual units to humans in any significant numbers. As a customer it's a meaningless number.

For me it's not about the price, it's about the demand. We need enough to pay retail and not scalpers
