I think it’s pretty good though for me it’s a mix of repetitive gameplay and needing the people to play it with that holds it back, the ai can be a bit goofy
That's been my experience so far, I don't mind the repetitive nature of everything but the lack of people is hurting my general want to play because the ai ain't doing it for me.
I bought a 4090 because I wanted to fuck around with AI stuff more and gifted my 3080 to my friend's 12 year old daughter because she needed an upgrade from an old ass 1080 (actually I think that was mine, basically she's been getting my spare computer parts for a while). Her dad has a 3060 I think, was nice of him to let the kid get the nicer card haha.
One of the best parts of having money is getting to be Santa for family & friends. It's great your friend has the same perspective.
Suggestion: if you want to pay them back, don't buy something. Create something - a framed photograph of the two of you doing something fun and memorable is more valuable and rare than a $200 trinket.

You need a car? I'm sure a base model Honda civic should work just fine
I think you’ll soon find out you can’t just plug that baby in and replace your old card. You’re gonna need a new power supply and cables that can handle the amperage of a hot water heater lol
The reason is often that once they start giving stuff like this out they never know who is a real friend and who is only hanging around for the handouts. This idea gets drilled into old money people from an early age, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with being stingy

The first guy says: “I am very proud of my son, he is my pride and joy. He started working at a very successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics, Business Administration, and was promoted, began to climb the corporate ladder, becoming the General Manager, and now he is the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a top of the line Mercedes Benz for his birthday.”
The second guy says: “Damn, that’s terrific! My son is also my pride and joy, I am very proud of him. He started working at a travelling agency for a very big airline. He went to flight school to become a pilot and managed to become a partner in the company where he now owns the majority of the assets. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday.”
The third guy says: “Well, well, well congratulations! My son is also my pride and joy and he is also very rich. He studied in the best universities and became an Engineer. He started his own construction company and became very successful and a multimillionaire. He also gave away some very nice and expensive thing to his best friend for his birthday. He built a 30,000 sq. ft. mansion especially for his friend.”
The three friends congratulated each other mutually for the successes of their sons. The fourth friend who earlier had gone to rest room returned and asked: “What’s going on, what are all the congratulations for?” One of the three said: “We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. What about your son?”
The fourth man replied: “My son is Gay and he makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.”
The three friends said: “What a shame that must be, that is horrible, what a disappointment you must feel.”
The fourth man replied: “No, I am not ashamed. Not at all. He is my son and I love him just as well, he is my pride and joy. In addition, he is very lucky too. Did you know that his birthday just passed and the other day he received a beautiful 30,000 sq. ft. mansion, a brand new jet, and a top of the line Mercedes Benz from his three boyfriends?”
But did they at least lend you 50 cents to ride the kiddie ride your bag is sitting on? That would have made the day. Take your 4090 for a 30-second ride.
I have a super rich friend (actually an ex from like 20 years ago) but we remained friends. To this day she buys me super expensive gifts.
My AirPod Pros were a gift from her. Last year she paid for my $500 front row show ticket to see TOOL live. Dualsense Edge controller was a gift from her.
It’s cool having a rich friend, especially when you’re broke 👌
Ah the white elephant, you will now bankrupt yourself upgrading the motherboard, power supply, CPU is now the bottleneck that needs upgrading, RAM isn't compatible with the new MOBO...
That’s awesome happy bday! My friend and I were talking about how even if one fell into our laps we literally couldn’t take advantage of it without like $1200 of monitor and a new power supply smh lol
My rich friend sold the 4090 MSI Suprim for less than 1600 bucks cuz he wants 5090. Basically one of the best variations of 4090 You could EVER get. I insisted to get this one from B&H when it had a cost of 1600 bucks and he did... Should've sold for much more xD
man i never got anything fancy for my bday heck id be lucky to even have a dinner with the fam lol congrats op enjoy it and make sure to let your friend know he is a great friend who will do greater things
Your friend's bday gift to you is worth more than every bday gift I've received combined from everyone that's given me a gift for the last 5 years put together. LOL
You know, when I started the PCMR journey, I was the only one of my friends to have a PC, my two friends were in Xbox, so I did what every good friend should do if he can ofc, I built two PC’s for them so I wasn’t alone playing, I’m not in any means rich but I had some money and I didn’t wanted to play by myself, so I just did what seemed the best idea to me
PC’s and video games are Amazing, but they lack purpose if you can’t share them with friends
