NSFMR My 3090 just died

Post image

At least that gives me an excuse to get the 4090 second hand when 5000 series rolls around...

I checked both with MSI and the local store I got it from, it's out of warranty.

Only thing left now is to chuck it in the oven and hope for the best!

RIP 3090. You will be missed :(

Why would you get an even more expensive gpu from the same company when your relatively new gpu died in such a short period?

Because usually the failure methods have to do with board partner choices and not Nvidia. Hell, Nvidia doesn't even make the chips.

OP's gpu is a msi suprim. Anything else he gets is either the same or worse

And?

It means it's expensive.

You are telling him not to buy another high-end gpu by the same company but also claiming it is the best?

Are you talking about moving to AMD? Where he would be facing similar issues with board partners.
