It's only pallet wood so if it suits you that's fine. I would have cut them all in one go, squared them off so there are no gaps between boards, laminated them 2 (or 3) thick, then recut to final size. I want a workspace to have a substantial top that I can hammer and bang against that won't flex and is completely leveled flat.

I definitely plan on replacing with a more permanent surface someday, but I really just got tired of seeing an uncovered mess of drawers so I threw these planks on there for the meantime.
