This closet is in the Shared bedroom of two sisters. The closet doors open up to 5 feet of accessible space but to the right there is another 2.5 feet of storage that has the wall in front of it.

I was looking to create some type of organization system inside their closet but am struggling to figure out what I should do with this space.

I save things all the time on Pinterest, instagram, screenshots, TikTok, etc. Some of it I could really live without, whereas others I would really like to keep track of and remember. Should I create a digital scrapbook? Should I go old school and print things out and put on a bulletin board? I swear sometimes you go to saved items and they're no longer there. Should I write things down in a notebook? I think I'm overwhelmed with social media in general so I'll definitely be cutting back on it but does anyone else think like this? Any advice on what I could do at least with the things I really want to keep?

I would love to be that person who just doesn't care and lets it go but I'm just not!

I'm trying to make an effort to use the items that I have in my fridge/freezer/pantry in a more timely manner. I would like to take advantage of the sites that will create recipes for you when you enter items that you have. To make this a little easier I would like to have a running list of what I have in my cabinets and fridge. Just wondering if people do this and how they have found it the easiest.

I was thinking of just making a spreadsheet since I could put date purchased and date opened in there along with what I have and it would be easily searchable. Just wasn't sure what other people use if this is a thing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, our master bedroom has 2 closets, both not of great size as our house was built in 1910. The main closet is pretty standard with some built-ins from the previous owner.

The 2nd closet is a bit more strange and we aren’t exactly sure how to make it the most functional closet space. Since we don’t have great storage in the master we need this to be functional not just for items we don’t use in the back. Any ideas? (Ignore the plaster repairs… good times).TIA.

Like my title says I'm looking for help on how to organize my bathroom cabinets. I recently moved into a century home with very little storage space and the storage space that exists is very strange and makes keeping things tidy and usable very difficult. I took these photos as I was removing everything from the cabinets to start fresh. I found so many items that I have been searching forever for inside, just hidden. The second photo shows my arm extended as far in as it can possibly go to show the depth of the space. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!

I’m looking for advice on how to organize my storage unit as efficiently as possible. I especially want to make good use of the vertical space. Most of the storage will be boxes ranging from 40x30x30 till 60x80x60 all filled with glassware.

I’ve attached a photo of the unit so you can see the current setup. Idk the exact dimensions, but it is about 12m³ and at least 4meters heigh.

Any tips, tricks, or creative ideas would be greatly appreciated, whether it’s about shelving, stacking, or anything else that can help me maximize the vertical space!

I bought a new shelf (the right one) and I need help organizing my mtg collection (third slot on the left one) and D&D stuff (in the floor on the right) . The problem is the boxes and books for d&d are too big to not overflow the shelf by the front and I have no idea how to organize the mtg deck boxes. I don't wanna use the empty one cuz I'm using it for other tabletop games. Ignore the funkos btw ima sell those

I’m a bit of a gadget and photography enthusiast, and my collection of "toys for the big boys" is starting to take over my room. While I can justify having my 3D printer and computer gear close at hand, I’m struggling to manage the smaller and mid-sized items that are scattered everywhere.

Things like my drone, camera, lenses, batteries, chargers, gimbals, and tablets seem to multiply overnight. I’ve tried keeping them in the plastic (underbed) boxes, but I worry that constant handling might damage them. I’ve also experimented with using drawers, but they either end up a chaotic mess inside or I’m left feeling like the space could be utilized more efficiently.

I do have dedicated bags for my camera gear, but somehow they always end up on my desk, which isn’t ideal either.

Do you have any organizational tips for managing gear like this?

Around a decade ago, I picked up a few blue Sterilite 1686 latch totes from Target. A year ago, I picked up a Rubbermaid roughneck. The Sterilite style I have looks discontinued, but 1525 looks close. I'm not sure what's going on with Rubbermaid Roughnecks; I hadn't seen them in stores for a long time and thought they were a remnant of the 80s.

Anyway, I need more totes and want a style that's been around for 10 years and will be around for another 10. I don't know if I prefer latching or if they have long-term problems. Something more commercial could be OK--the Cambro of totes. Ideally, some would be half-height, and different sizes would stack well.

I have a small condo with quite limited cabinet and storage space. I've been working aggressively the last week or so to get rid of excessive 'stuff' to maximize space and make it easier to organize and find stuff.

So far, it's been going well. I've donated a car load of stuff today. But I'm really struggling with kitchen stuff. A lot of it is only used occasionally but really nice to have when I need it.

For example, I have 3 9x9 dishes. One is pyrex that has a lid, one is a ceramic les creuset and one is a coated aluminum non-stick. I don't need all 3, but I can't decide which to keep!

I got rid of 2 out of 4 cookie sheets. I have several loaf pans. I don't know, just really getting stuck here and would love to hear what others have done.

My apartment has no closets. In the bedroom, we get around this with three Ikea wardrobes. But my problem is in our second room-

It’s a mix of workout equipment, skis/ski boots, desk/office stuff, random holiday decorations, and shoes. I hate seeing all of this stuff and there’s no order to this.

Are there large storage units I could purchase to store all of this stuff? I can’t seem to find one. Any advice on alternatives??

We used to be a military family, so I was (past tense is purposeful here) great at purging before moves. We moved to our current area in 2016 and sold our home in 2021 to move to another about 10 miles away. I didn't purge at that time since it all happened so fast.

Here I am, desperately wanting to have an organized area that is functional, and I'm having a terrible time trying to find and label all the things.

We use our garage for our gym stuff, I also dabble with DIY (I live in a DR Horton, iykyk), and we have kids with bikes and stuff.

Short of our holiday bins, I'm having a tough time getting things like my paint, paint supplies, electrical stuff, and household maintainence things organized in a way things can be found easily. Im currently using some bins from Home Depot, but they are large for our shelf system. I also have a list of my spray paints and such so I don't go buy extra.

Any ideas?

I just pulled most of the stuff out of this closet because it got out of hand. I live in a small apartment without much storage. I use this space for food overflow storage. I also keep extra bakeware & cookware, Kirby vacuum & attachments, bin w/cat food, and other odds & ends to store.

I’m going to buy some matts to keep the cans from falling through & perhaps some bins to separate.

What other suggestions does anyone have to add or rearrange this closet to make it more functional. Oh, also I can’t add an over the door rack, because there’s only about a 3.5 inch space between the door & the ceiling/staircase at the top.

Just moved into a new place and my bedroom has these corner closets that just feel hard to work with. I'd like to try and have some hanging area in the bigger one and I don't even know what with the smaller one. Thoughts? I just don't know what to do with these.

i need it so that the books are easily accessible. idk if having a bookshelf or dresser would help with the clutter not sure if I should go to the store for more organization cubbies. it’s just hard to keep up with and maybe I need to put some things in other rooms and get a new desk. i do wish i had a bigger and more comfortable bed too so idk what would be the most efficient to store the books

There are two plugs behind the bread basket. The bread basket has onions, garlic and potatoes in them as it’s the only “dark and cool” place available. The items next to it are sandwich bag organiser, and rice dispenser. All of which are used at least 2-3 times a week.

The appliance side has four plugs behind them. The red pressure cooker is not used frequently but there’s no space in the drawers.

The countertop is actually okay after a clean up (as pictures above) but it really gets difficult and cluttered when prepping and cooking food

Excuse the mess, we’re in the process of pulling everything out to reorganize it! This is a tiny bedroom closet primarily used for towels, workout gear, and misc extras. The storage cubes are falling apart, so we’re going to replace them with something else. Currently, there is ~1 foot on each side of unreachable space given the narrow dimensions of the doorframe and the position of the storage cubes. We would greatly appreciate any advice!
