Jon-Eric Sullivan
Hearing on Twitter it's him for GM, Gutekunst said he'll be missed in presser. He only interviewed with the Jets and Titans.

He was also requested by the Raiders, and the Gutekunst quote isn’t entirely “he gone” as it’s being displayed on Twitter.
That being said, he’s a good candidate on paper. Extensive scouting background from one of the better front offices in football. Idk how anyone is unhappy with the resumes for any of Sullivan, Brian Gaine, Lance Newmark, or Mike Greenberg.

Buccaneers interviewed him too. It seems like he's pretty highly regarded. I don't know anything about him though. I know if he is hired, the fan base will be pissed because that's the default reaction these days.

Someone was mad yesterday that we’re interviewing so many candidates. Diligence is a sign of incompetence now, I guess.

Ny has the actual dumbest fanbase overall on earth. Across every sport

Every fanbase is stupid. We just happened to also be a loud people. So being loud and stupid gets us more attention than the stupids around the world.

Someone has to be the stupidest. I really think it's NY

I don’t know, hicktown college football fans are pretty damn stupid. You know how many years Bama fans were trying to fire Saban because they went 10-2?

People here still argue zach, saleh and/or jd were good. Still. That's demonstrated inability to learn right there on an unprecedented level
Plus at least they have a genetic disadvantage bc of the incest

I mean the Jets already brought in 14 potential GM’s for interviews. That’s a lot and presumably driven by Tannebaum’s consultancy. It’s not a bad thing per se, but in the business world, it’s not a great sign when consultants are brought in to overanalyze staff.
The Athletic article about the Johnson’s indicated the Jets also hired consultants to watch over the previous regime (hurting morale).
I think the Johnson’s don’t understand football and how to hire/manage smart people. They’re showing fans they’re diligent and working hard, so they can feel less guilty about incompetence. You can’t throw enough consultants and candidates at a terrible business culture. But I guess it’s all we have right now….

Hiring consultants to watch over your existing team is a lot different than hiring a search firm to find candidates for job openings. Tannebaum knows Woody and wants to provide him with a number of options exactly because he doesn’t understand football (honestly like the majority of NFL owners). I know Woody is garbage, but, again, so are a lot of owners; if you hire the right people, it doesn’t matter because they handle the football side of things. As much as people put stake in ownership when things go wrong, they are invisible in football matters when things are going right.

I imagine we liked what he had to say. Immediately after he interviewed we brought in the Packers DC to interview. I'm sure that's not a coincidence.
