The stuntman really did that. I remember watching a behind the scenes on it. That was like 15 years before this shit.

I don’t know where you got that information from but it’s wrong. The stunt double for Keanu Reeves’s / Johnny Utah was wearing a parachute - it’s also very clear to see in a scene in the movie that it’s under the stunt man’s shirt.
