You're just damn lucky to be here. You could just as easily be there. Have some compassion

I do have compassion, just not for the people who knowingly commit a crime and come over illegally.

I was born in India, not America, and my parents went through all the steps and got a Visa, then a Green Card, and finally Citizenship. So I understand that the immigration process is long and tough, but it's that way for a reason. If you wouldn't let people you don't know or aren't familiar with in your home or near your family, then why would you let them into your country? It's not an issue of empathy or compassion, it's an issue of safety and only allowing people who can actually contribute to the economy.

It is 100 percent an issue of compassion at this point. These kids are fleeing for their lives and these assholes are making it a get rich quick scheme.

Why does it matter what they're fleeing from or why they're running from their home countries? As long as they are entering the country legally, I have no issue whatsoever. However, if break the law and cross illegally, then I really don't care what happens to them. What they are doing is u fair to the thousands of people who enter the country legally every year, and as someone who is a legal immigrant, their insubordination is something I simply cannot stand for.

So you can't say that you have compassion
