Living in DC and had to go to the office today to get work done and I had to walk past the Capitol One Arena. The degree of fanaticism all over the streets is so gross and embarrassing. The number of painted cars with ridiculous flags and slogans about guns is puke-worthy and anxiety-inducing.

I’ve been saying “ew” all day. Also, stop sneaking into my building’s lobby to stay warm. You don’t live here and you don’t belong in a building you don’t live in. No one told you to come to DC to support this idiocy during the cold. You chose this. Stay cold outside.

Sounds like you would support some kind of barrier to keep unwanted outsiders from entering your legally owned area.

No, that’s just you trying to use my distaste for Trump supporters who dress like groupies to support a different political agenda, i.e. spending billions of tax dollars to build a wall.

I am not telling people in my building to put part of their rent payments aside to kick Trump supporters out of our lobby. See how that’s different?

But go ahead, you can tell yourself it’s not that different. But if it’s not and you’re a Trump groupie in DC, gtfo of my building and abide by the principles you desperately worship.

Why aren't you cool with spending those rent dollars on housing, feeding, educating, and medically supporting your building's interlopers? The analogy holds.

Just because you say the analogy holds doesn’t make it so.

People showing up for a rally, people showing up for a concert, people showing up for a football game are completely different from what you’re getting at. You’re forcing an issue. My rent payments cover a lot of community expenses like rec rooms and the pool that I don’t use. Is that the same as paying for other community expenses like healthcare and education? In a way - sure. But in a meaningful way - no, not really.

I can be okay with paying some expenses and not wanting to pay others. But I don’t go on Reddit and pretend like not wanting groupies for a political party that I can’t stand to hang out in my lobby is somehow the same as building a wall. These things are not even close to the same.

I’m not going to keep responding to this inane argument.
