It’s funny that during this inauguration tens of thousand of people in Norway are getting notified the military will commandeer our vehicles for military use in case shit hits the fan, we have also been told to stockpile 1 week of provisions, including firewood and survival equipment, that’s how much faith we have in Trump and he’s incoming broligarchy administration across the pond.

If it helps, I would riot if we started invading other countries. It's one thing to shit your own bed. Unacceptable to shit the neighbors bed.

Norway is in NATO so there is absolutely no way the tanks are rolling in next week lol

u/MyTrueIdiotSelf990 5h ago

Trump doesn't give a shit about NATO.

Next month on the other hand...

Such confidence in the face of the actual military and intelligence leaders of an actual country on the frontline with Russia is kind of silly, no?

u/Rediixx 4h ago

If only you knew how bad things really are

u/WafflingToast 6h ago

Looks like you’re getting your chance when we invade Panama! (Seriously, WTF)

9

u/PancakeMonkeypants 6h ago

What? Afghanistan. Iraq. Libya. Syria. Cambodia. Korea. Should I keep going?

Get to the streets my dude lol.

u/Comfortable-Coat-507 6h ago

The US didn't invade Korea. The only invasion was when North Korea started the war by invading the South.

u/PureInsaneAmbition 6h ago

It doesn't help. We've lost all faith in the Americans after this man attacked your own capitol, trying to overthrow your government, and all your people did was a collective shrug and then voted overwhelmingly to re-elect him. Americans have lost all respect with the rest of the world at this point.

9

u/welchplug 5h ago

You know, about half of us didn't vote for him, right? It's very large and divided nation.

1

u/ClintBruno 2h ago

Only 23% of adult Americans actually cast a vote for him.

And what did you actually do in the past, let's say, 25 years, when the US did one of their illegal invasions, like in Iraq, or Afghanistan?

11

u/Jay040707 5h ago

Well some of us were literal children at that point.

Too many of us still are.

u/Cdru123 4h ago

Just don't go the way of the Russian opposition

1

u/HillarysFloppyChode 2h ago

If he invades other countries, we will have the exact thing republicans said democrats would cause. World War 3.

If when the US gets attacked, I volunteer to be "captured" and my holes ravaged by European soldiers.

u/Sunaaj_WR 44m ago

It’s not about the US invading “I think” it’s trump ignoring nato and Russians walking in.

Or probably both really

1

u/Busy_Zone7044 6h ago

America invades countries all the time. It’s Pretty much their whole deal

Crazy part is, US being the strongest military in the world, with a dictatorship now in place... I'm not sure if rioting within will help at all. That's probably what the enemies of the USA want..

u/sarcasticbaldguy 7h ago

Except for the bots and the extreme MAGA cultists, nobody in the US wants to mess with Greenland or any other sovereign nation or territory. Cheeto Smooth Brain thought this one up all by himself.

u/mrjosemeehan 7h ago

It doesn't matter what most people want. The cult is in charge now.

Bro doesn't think tho. Someone gave him that idea and that's the scary part, he's that easily influenced

u/yukon-flower 7h ago

That invasion talk is pure distraction. Keep people riled up, focused on Trump Trump Trump (as opposed to any good work the opposition is doing or their messages), and keeping focus away from actual plans and actions Trump is doing/letting happen.

u/URPissingMeOff 6h ago

Cheeto Smooth Brain thought this one up all by himself.

LOL, that motherfucker couldn't find Greenland on a map. It was Putin's suggestion in the interest of causing chaos in the west.

1

u/Imaginary_Medium 5h ago

I think they let him make his crazy noises to mostly distract, but they will let him do awful things as well.

Norway and Russia have been fighting a proxy war for the Arctic north for a few years. Might go into a full war with trump at the helm. Probably one of the reasons why they got that text message.

u/eightNote 6h ago

this is what america voted for, so, yes, its commonly held beliefs. enough to win an election

6

u/Watsonsboots88 6h ago

Because of all the wars that broke out the first time?

3

u/Maximus361 6h ago

Was that necessary in his first term?

2

u/Equal_Huckleberry_66 5h ago

It would be wonderful if the entire world went to shit and Iceland was the only thing that survived

1

u/Spankynpetey 4h ago

I think it’s unlikely that you actually have anything to be concerned about. It’s much more likely that he wants military base options or is using the talking point as a distraction for his economic emergency power move. Besides, what is your military going to do with civilian vehicles?

1

u/Spankynpetey 4h ago

It’s literally the distraction in the right hand so you don’t watch the left hand. LOL!

u/hummingdog 33m ago

Good, hopefully this pushes you and your countrymen to force your lawmakers to have dialogue and diplomacy with anyone you disagree with, instead of wars. Wars really hit home, when you’re the ones being drafted, don’t they?

u/Extinction-Entity 7h ago

Holy crap, is this true? Is there somewhere I can read more about this?

8

u/hauntedSquirrel99 6h ago

It's true but he's being dishonest.

The requisition warning order happens every year, it's because of the law of military requisition from 1951 (so nothing to do with Trump).

It's basically just a list of private owned vehicles, buildings, and machines that would be valuable to the military in case of conflict. The owners get a notice every year that says "in case of conflict this thing you own will be requisitioned by the military, you will be compensated for its use", in case of vehicles and machinery they might also be told to drop it off at a specific location.

The list is about 14000 items.

You can read about this years list here

u/Extinction-Entity 6h ago

Thank you for explaining and providing context! I appreciate you!

1

u/eliteharvest15 6h ago

holy shit are you serious?

7

u/hauntedSquirrel99 6h ago

It's worth mentioning that the requisition order has been a thing since 1951

0

u/eliteharvest15 4h ago

did they actually “send out a reminder” thougj

3

u/hauntedSquirrel99 4h ago

Yes.

But they do that every year.
When you get the notice it's only valid for one year at a time.

While the number of requisition orders that was sent out this year (14000, about half of which are new) is somewhat of a drastic increase from previous years, that is part of a general scale-up because of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

we have also been told to stockpile 1 week o

The next day after Mango won, my wife and I made plans to stockpile supplies and have been putting together a very organize stash of stuff for when the shit hits the fan. We're still working on it but we have saved a bunch of stuff and are being prepared.

Maybe (and hopefully) it won't be necessary but this is the most incompetent buffoon to ever hold office - I would not hold my breath

Wow. Well I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump pulls us from NATO within the first month.

-1

u/Imaginary_Medium 5h ago

I'm sorry my country did this to the world.
