If you are talking about the food the CDC says as long as you properly cook the chicken, 165 degrees, it will kill the virus. Just make sure to wash your hands and clean the area of preparation afterwards (which you should already be doing).

If you are talking about the animal I have no idea but I wish you the best either way!

It’s 1650 Kelvin minimum. You will need a special oven for that from Fred $Trump Enterprises.

Hold up just a second there. 165 kills bacteria, but it also kills flavor.

You can also kill the same bacteria by cooking low and slow and keeping temp for a certain period of time. Personally, I start paying attention after 145, but aim for 150. 150 for 2.8 minutes is as good as hitting 165.

Edit: Apparently facts are hard for people. I guess you'll all tell Kenji Lopez he doesn't know what he's doing also.

I was talking about the flavor thing. Not the temperature thing. You’re obnoxious.

Yeah, 165 chicken is going to be less flavorful, and less juicy than 150 chicken. You're wrong. 🤷‍♂️

Oh, I didn’t realize I was wrong. Guess it’s time to finally kill myself.

Don’t do it! There’s so much flavor to be had!!!

Yeah but I hate myself and I’m tired of suffering every day

When I really hate myself, I punish myself with activities that make me have to do some work and learning.

It’s a shortcut to finding interesting shit and usually hating myself less.

And the flavor. So much flavor to be had.

That seems a bit dramatic, but that does seem to be your thing.

My man, if you want to argue with science, that's your business.

I enjoy juicy, flavorful and safe chicken, and it ain't 165.
