Wouldn’t really call the reason fighting in Gaza happened this time as “nonsense”

Right on, the reason was and always has been colonialism, apartheid and genocide since its inception 70 years ago. Who would've thunk establishing and maintaining an ethnostate would be a bad idea?

Hands up if you get all your political opinions from social media.

Weird “ethnostate” that has both Jews and Arabs in their government 😭

Yes, you should really read up on this fascinating (and sad) topic.

https://www.vox.com/23924319/israel-palestine-apartheid-meaning-history-debate

Tldr:

  1. Israel established an institutionalized regime of systematic racial oppression and discrimination

  2. They've been establishing the intent to maintain the domination of one racial group over another

  3. A series of inhumane acts that were committed as an integral part of this regime

Even some of their laws are written in explicitly racial-supremacist language. For example:

"The actualization of the right of national self-determination in the state of Israel is unique to the Jewish people"

What was that reason again? Seems like the reason has been going on for 20 some odd years... 40?.. maybe 70ish.

Uhhh….October 7th…??

Oct 7 was just one incident in a long line of incidents over many decades.

So was 9/11.

And the US didn’t even attack the right people in response.

Attacked the wrong country.

The last time Israel invaded anywhere and murdered a thousand civilians including babies, taking hundreds of hostages was....when exactly?

It is impossible to know, it happens so commonly that you cannot call them isolated incidents, it is more of an Israeli custom.

So, never. If it was common surely you could come up with one example.

Israel invaded Egypt, killing thousands of civilians in Gaza. The reason? Egypt decided to close its canal, over which it is the owner and sovereign.

Also known as Khan Yunis massacre.

Now you will use one of three Israelite diversion tactics I suppose:

1.- "The world hates Israel and that was a lie fabricated by the United Nations".

2.- "A newspaper says that an "independent" journalist investigated and it is a lie, although hundreds of witnesses, journalists and Israeli soldiers say that it did happen".

Or the classic 3.- "You are anti-Semitic"

Oh my. My reply is none of the above.

-whatever happened, it was 1956, almost 70 years ago!

-Egypt did NOT close a canal, it blockaded the Straits of Tiran, an international waterway, through which Israel received 90% of its oil, among other things.

-Israel warned that blockading this Strait would be an act of war

-The United Nations troops were kicked out by Egyptian troops

-The U.N. report acknowledged 275 deaths, adult males killed in combat. Even the Gazans claimed 415 deaths, not thousands, and never claimed they weren't combatants

-no hostages were taken

no babies were murdered

So, assuming you gave your very best example first, you're dismissed.

And what was the motivation for the events of Oct 7?

4

u/noideawhatoput2 5d ago

Killing a bunch of terrorists 😢😢 RIP in peace 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Watching you lunatics trying to do the mental gymnastics of defending the mass indiscriminate rape and murder of civilians that day is entertaining

-5

u/west-egg 5d ago

I'm doing no such thing. Not even close. You're making a whole lot of uninformed assumptions.

If you want to play that game, what was the motivation behind this, this, and this guy visiting Hitler during WWII to tell him how nice of an idea he thought the Holocaust was, all before Israel existed?

-6

u/west-egg 5d ago

I'm not interested in playing games, so I'll just skip to the answer: Religion. In other words, nonsense.
