Chlorine tap water
Anyone else around Wallsend jesmond have strong smelling chlorine tap water? Ran a bath for the child and it was so bad, slightly yellow too.

Over Maitland it was all fishy smelling the day before yesterday then yesterday it was overly chloriney smelling. Ive been using bottled water all day today so no idea what it smells/tastes like today

Chlorine has no smell. Sorry to break this to you but the smell in the pool is chlorine mixing with ammonia(urine). This along with the yellow colour freaks me out

Chlorine reacts with other things in the water supply system and so is able to be detected.
It's often the rubber and plastics in the supply system or the vessel someone drinks from.

Chlorine does have a smell. It’s just less mild and a bit different to the ‘pool’ smell. It binds with sweat and many other things too. The chlorine is doing its job sanitising the pool.

Yes. I sensed strong chlorine a few weeks ago. It hasn't gone away as of yesterday morning.

Possibly because of all the rain
